Mini-brainbag

I know there are plans for some kind of new backpack. The Brainbag is a perfect backpack with enough pockets to organize everything I carry - as opposed to the Smart Alec.
My only problem with it is that, as a 5 foot female, it's too large for me to use as a daily bag. I prefer a backpack but am using the Imago while waiting for the new Tom Bihn backpack.
It would be great to have all the features of the Brainbag but in a smaller version the size of the Imago.

I have a beautiful Brain Bag, it is wonderfull for carrying a laptop and related gear. It is great for carrying around a bunch of papers, notebooks and books. It is also a great carryon.

But it's too big for errands use, going to docs and dentist appointments etc..

A mini version with all the pockets, very nice zippers and super comfy straps would be a great addition (or shall I say addiction) to Tom Bihn's line.

I'll be buying the Zephyr when it's ready which is supposed to be about the same size as the ID. I'd really like to see a small backpack that's smaller than the ID and larger than the Imago. That would be the perfect size for a daily bag when I'm not carrying my notebook.

What is the size of the bag?

There is a need to improve on the number of pockets and of course we -need- to get the awsome contemporary Tom Bihn fabric.

Sorry to tell you that plum is now out of stock and is being replaced by grape. Anyone who wants a Cafe bag or Utility tote in plum should probably call now to check whether it's available in the remaining stock and place an order now. (The blog posting about the disappearance of plum showed up just a few days after the description and pictures of a planned navy and plum combo for the new Buzz showed up, so I know how you feel.)

I agree with the mini-Brain Bag idea, except:

I have not ever used that tripod strappy thing on the Brain Bag, but would have liked it to have side pockets a la the Ego... can't help but feel that it is wasted empty real estate on the bottom half of the sides of the bag. Also, it is a bit awkard the way the two vertical front pockets sort of want you to stack all your tall skinny things on top of each other. I usually carry both a water bottle and an umbrella (it rains nearly every day at the uni), so having both readily accessible via the side pockets would be cool.

Also, more little D-rings for my organizer pouches please!!! =D

Just wanted to put in my voice as one of the many people hoping that someday a slightly downsized brain bag is created. I keep debating just trying the normal brain bag, but I don't really have $140 to spend on a backpack just yet, and especially not one that I'm not sure will be the right size for me.

I also use an imago as my daily bag because I don't like being overwhelmed with the size of my bags, but I really really want a backpack because sometimes that's just the type of bag I need and my current backpack is lacking in many ways and I love the many pockets of the brain bag. While the Ado looks cute, I don't think it's quite what I'm looking for.
