Confused about colors

I'm really confused about the availability of plum, grape and periwinkle.

It is my understanding that plum is available in 1000 Denier Cordura bags like the Cafe Bags and the Organizer Pouches.

Grape is available only with the Aeronaute which is 1050 Ballistic nylon.

Is the discontinued Plum color the 1000 Denier Cordura?

I also read in a recent post that the Organizer Pouches are no longer available in periwinkle.


Does that mean that only the future bags made of 1050 Ballistic Nylon available will be in purple like color?

If this is so do you plan to make bags other than the Aeronaute in that gorgeous fabric?

According to this blog post, they have a 1000 Cordura grape, that is simular to the Nylon grape. http://www.tombihn.com/blog/node/259 that will replace the plum color when they make the next sets of bags.

Plum will be back soon!. But this means no Grape 1000 Denier Cordura.

I don't know how much of us are Purple colors fans but I am.

I really think that Tom Bihn bags could be made in both Plum and Grape at least the accessories and the accents pockets in some bags.

What do you think fellow forum members?


Edited to say that the more I look at my Plum Cafe Bag the more I think it is an ideal dark Magenta.

So Grape is the ideal dark Purple.

I'd be particularly interested in that small backpack mentioned in the newsletter in plum, too. And the... LOL Yes, I am a color junkie and I love that plum.

I'm a big fan of just about any shade of purple and I'd love to order any TB bag in Plum or Grape. I ordered my first bag, a Medium Cafe Bag, partly because I could get the interior in Periwinkle.

The new Ado backpack is very cute. We're finalizing the colors now, and after we do that, our factory will make a sample of it so that I can take pictures of it.

If we try Plum again in the Imago, what should we pair it with? Maybe the Plum/Crimson combo wasn't meant to be.

Plum and Crimson is too bright a color combo.

In my case I do not like red or any warm tone.

Plum/Steel or Grape/Steel are definite winner.

I did a lot of searches and can't find any mention of this before, new product?

Usual questions: is it a bigger/smaller version of any existing backpacks, or is it a new brandy new design?

As for the Plum, yep, I can see where with Crimson it would just be too much. Plum (or Grape) is enough of a vivid color all by itself. Perhaps the purples with steel as others have suggested would be really good. So, Plum/Steel/Steel or Plum/Black/Steel.

As for the Plum, yep, I can see where with Crimson it would just be too much. Plum (or Grape) is enough of a vivid color all by itself. Perhaps the purples with steel as others have suggested would be really good. So, Plum/Steel/Steel or Plum/Black/Steel.

I completely agree with you color choices Plum/Steel/Steel or Plum/Black/Steel.
or also Black/Plum/Steel with Black as the main color and Plum as a stylish accent.

I also would love a Saphire/Plum/Steel but maybe a Navy/Plum/Steel would be better.

I also would be soo happy if the Periwinkle lining color would come back.

I have it in the mini pouch and it is the dreamiest color.

Btw, the odd-sounding combo of Plum and Wasabi is just grand, imo, esp. with the Wasabi as an interior/lining color. I have a Large Cafe Bag with that combo and I love it.
