A question for those of you who have a Large Organizer Pouch, or would order one if it had different dimensions: is it ideal as it is at 13.5" x 10.3", or would it be a more useful pouch if the dimensions were changed?

For me, anything bigger than the medium pouch doesn't seem useful. Actually, the medium is a bit large and the small a bit small. I have found uses for them, but I would be more inclined towards one in the middle of those two. My problem is I have an old style DS I am trying to put in one. I had to switch and use the small pouch for my iPod and move the DS to a pocket in my Ego. That freed up my medium pouch for it's intended purpose as a makeup bag. I guess it did all work out, but I wouldn't want a pouch any bigger. It wouldn't really fit in the Ego.Proud owner of; Ego (first run) in Black/Steel/Deep Blue; medium organizer pouches in cayenne and crimson; small organizer pouches in olive, pink and storm blue; mini organizer pouch in sapphire; quarter packing cube; ego strips in crimson, plum, blue glitter and sapphire.

I think that the large pouch is a little bit too big. I think it should just be big enough to hold a file or papers (though I don't bother to put those things in my large pouch.)
That being said, I agree with the previous poster that the small pouch is too small, but I think the medium pouch is a great size.Owner of: Medium Cafe Bag, Empire Builder, Brain Bag, Brain Cell (Size 6 Horizontal), Freudian Slip (both orientations), Imago, Aeronaut, large packing cubes, organizer pouches (mini, small, medium, large), Ego, Side Effect, Large Cafe Bag, Synapse

I own 2 Large Organiser Pouches.
In one I was able to fit 12 poly tabbed file folders but due to the tabs could not zip the pouch.
On the second 15 thin poly files could fit and I could zip the top.
Both Pouches fit nicely into a big legal size poly folder with a snap closure.
I bought those to get a dressier look while bringing papers on doc appointments and such.
A Pouch that would be a tad taller and longer would be good, maybe half an inch, so that the fabric part would be a little more than letter size to slip letter size thin folders or presentation binders easily.
I also think that a folder in letter and legal size with an portrait opening would be ideal for Brain Bag, Large Cafe Bag and Smart Alex owners.
In another thread, an Aeronaute owner wanted to know how to handle small quantities of paper. I think the Large Organizer pouch could be the answer.
It is stylish, can be made of fabric matching the Bihn Bags mentioned above and others and can be kept secure with the little clip, while traveling.Last edited by backpack; 04-23-2007, 02:02 PM.

my ideal pouch would be 6 x 11 -- I would use it for things like bank deposits, bills, statements, private letters, and other correspndence that I don't want co-mingling loose in my bag. At roughly 7 x 10, the medium size pouch I have is high enough but just a little too short to fit business envelopes in.
A pouch my size would be a terrific companion to the zephyr briefcase I plan on ordering this summer!

Large organizer pouch size suggestions.
I use the large organizer pouch with the classic ID bag as described in this post to hold items in the front pocket, act as an additional separator to organize things, and also to give extra protection to items stored in the open pockets behind it. This works really well for storing envelopes and small paper items, and is also exactly sized to the ID bag's front pocket. (I secure the hook to one of the rings.)
Having a slightly larger pouch of thinner material that could hold full size papers would be neat. I'd guess that you'd want the dimensions to also be convenient for the new larger bags. I'd also like this to be able to accommodate the slightly longer A4 papers.

Ramblings
I have thinking about this and what would I put in a pouch that was that dimension but very thin. For cables you have Snake Charmers, smaller stuff goes into separate pouches. I use a small cork pouch (<3) for my 2.5" external hdd, a medium for my notebook mouse, and yet another for my ds lite.
It seems like some of you want to use the Large pouch like a landscape Freudian Slip (http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/TBP/TB0344). Since that file organizer is tall for backpack use and not wide like the ID, Ego and Super Ego are laid out. I tend to use the open back pocket of my Super Ego for tossing papers in and I keep a manila folder in the main pocket next to the laptop (soft cell) to catch and protect papers I am going to haul around.
Sorry for the ramble but I am trying to think of a good size and aspect ratio of what the Large Pouch should be, it is almost a 3x4 ratio not quite square.
Using one as a divider is a cool idea and I guess it could be a catch all for anything that you don't want loose in the front pocket of most of the messenger bags. Loose CD's in sleeves, and thoughts go right back to papers since they are the thing that is common and thin of that size. It almost wants to be a zip folio of sorts.
I don't have any conclusions yet, but it seems making it at least a good ratio to hold 8.5x11" papers maybe in a folder would be a start.
