New Imago Colors: Hunter/Cork/Sage and Sapphire/Steel/Sage + More

The Imago is now available in the following new colors:

Navy/Cork/Olive
Steel/Cork/Deep Blue
Hunter/Cork/Sage
Sapphire/Steel/Sage
Steel/Crimson/Crimson
Black/Hunter/Olive

The Imago with a Cork flap is $100 (that's $15 more than the regular Imago).

For those interested in the breakdown between Ballistic Nylon and Cordura, the entries are:

Navy/Cork/Olive - Cordura
Steel/Cork/Deep Blue - Ballistic
Hunter/Cork/Sage - Ballistic
Sapphire/Steel/Sage - Cordura
Steel/Crimson/Crimson - Ballistic
Black/Hunter/Olive - Ballistic

All the new Ballistic nylon designs have the curvy front panel used for the first generation Imago Cordura bags. I'd really like to see what the Deep Blue interior looks like for the Imago shown above. Great new colors, new Ballistic design, and cork options for both the Cordura and Ballistic nylon versions. I have to admit I'm also curious about the Sage interior for the (Cordura) Sapphire/Steel/Sage, but I'm most intrigued by the new Ballistic Nylon offerings. Since I've already got a Cordura Cocoa/Cocoa/Wasabi Imago I'd probably get either the Steel/Crimson/Crimson or the Steel/Cork/Deep Blue.

This is a tail end from another thread, but I agree that the previous Plum offering didn't work well paired with Crimson, and would go much better with either Steel and/or Black, or possibly with a Navy/Plum/Steel combo.

Like moriond, I was debating getting my second in a Ballistic Nylon fabric... but I keep getting mesmerized by the Navy/Crimson/Crimson and the new Sapphire/Steel/Sage...

Not as many bright and happy color combos for the Ballistic Nylon line, as far as my opinion goes =D

True, there are more color combinations in Cordura. And in Ballistic Nylon I'd prefer crimson/steel/steel with the new curvy design flap to steel/crimson/crimson. Although it's not a bright color combination (outside), I think that black/cork/wasabi would be a wicked combination in Ballistic Nylon. I'm already thinking about which style kits would go nicely with these bags.

And I guess I know what the deep blue looks like for the Steel/Cork/Deep Blue interior since my Snake Charmer is this color, but it's still nice to see the color combinations with the bag open.

Even my hard-to-impress boyfriend was impressed by the cork. Now, in theory, sage may sound like an odd choice, but in contrast with the more saturated green Hunter color, the sage interior looks cool and silvery. The overall effect is striking, yet calming.

That looks really nice! I've often noted that colors look more striking for these bags "in person" (and sometimes in other pictures) than you might think. That's why having lots of forum and flicker posts helps. The interior does look striking. This should go well with your sage Aeronaut (grin).

I've been using a Navy/Cork/Olive Imago for the past month and a half. I've received so many compliments about it when using it out on the town.

Hey! The Imago was recommended as a great bag for motorcycle riding in Rider magazine.

Hmmm, I have used a few Timbuk2's and my Super Ego once (scary) on my motorcycle (Ducati Monster). I mean no offence to the folks at Rider, but thusfar the only bag I can comfortably use on the bike is that Chrome bag, it sits very high and can be snugged down.
But the flap is the thing I hate, since I have a forward lean on the bike the flap is exposed to wind and thusly starts to wear =).
The Buzz lacks this irritating flap, sits high on the back and is very sleek.

Oh, note that the redesign of the Imago strap means that it can be worn higher on the back (this is how I carry my bag all the time) and secured tight with the waist strap.

If the cork was the back panel fabric it wouldn't be in the wind much, it would mostly be in the low pressure area on my back. The top edge of the flap style bags nearest my shoulder is what takes the beating. I'll most likely get the newest Buzz regardless, but in cork would put me over the moon.
I love my small org. pocket in the fabric (cork) and almost daily someone tries to swipe it.
Seeing an Imago in cork irritates my bag jealousy to no end, the flagrant bag pr0n photo's by you do not help =)

Alex (TB Shipping Lead) tied a Cork Organizer Pouch to his bike, which he rides to and from work everyday, to test the durability of the cork fabric. He rode in the rain, wind, dust, and sun, and the entire pouch, including the cork fabric, held up just fine. It was definitely dirty, but not damaged.

What you'll see is that the cork fabric gets slightly darker as it ages. It's a slow process and not that noticeable, and I think it adds more character to the fabric.
