When I don't have to take a textbook to class, I use a set-up like this. (Currently replaced by a PU and Pilot)

      -SCB
-RHS: Sapphire clear OP with receipts, small take-out menus, and post-its, cork OP with digestive enzymes, foldable comb, lipbalm, Steel mesh pouch with wet wipes, plasters ('band-aids') and tissues, sunnies in a Vera case (one of my relics from college!), pocket planner, flash light, ballpoint, Sharpie
-LHS: Navy OW with name-cards and loyalty cards, Kiwi COW with IDs, cards, and notes ('bills'), coin wallet, keys.

Nice! Especially loving the Nordic COW (I missed that one). And is that a chocolate bar that I spy in the FS??

Yes adalangdon, I ALWAYS have one with me. I am on a sugar embargo but have dark chocolate (85%) as my only exaction. I am a tea-person and having a peace of chocolate with a nice cup of Darjeeling is something I very much enjoy.

This is a super interesting/fun thread! In fact, it's inspired us to make a blog post featuring the packing list photos shared here (we'll wait a bit though so that everyone who wants to gets a chance to submit a packing list/photo).

At this red hot minute in the local public library...at my favorite table for one on the fourth floor...planning for classes I teach, studying for French class, taking care of email correspondence and writing a blog post...I have with me:

1 Smart Alec containing: 1 large ballistic OP; 1 pencil pouch; 1 vertical Freudian; 1 micro parapack OP (FG 2013) with keys; 1 sapphire long key strap attaching said keys to bag; 1 mesh 3-d organizing cube with 1 kiwi COW (putting it that way makes me chuckle...) and 1 small Dyneema OP for change; 1 small padded OP for earphones rounds out that bag.

Beside the SA there is 1 large shop bag for hauling library books...It is PERfect for doing this because the straps are The Ideal length even when you are 5'2...no drag...none!...even when there are books in it,

                  Couldn't resist - here's my EDC right now! Steel Dyneema/UV S19:

                  <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/124667493@N07/16286918535" title="image by haraya blu, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7572/16286918535_b7826bd5bb_c.jpg" width="800" height="598" alt="image"></a>

                  Contents from top left, counter-clockwise:
In small? Azalea OP: Mini Jackery external battery. Goes in main compartment.

In indigo double OP: "Just-in-case" things: Band-Aids, emergency chocolate, painkillers, inhaler, gum, lipstick, purple Fox 40 micro whistle, pink cloth for cleaning glasses, backup contacts, pen. Goes in main compartment.

In UV Dyneema OP: Green Ordning & Reda notebook. (Pens are in attached black EC pencil case... I know, blasphemy to have a non-TB accessory, but I already had it, better to reuse! )

Turquoise LightMyFire spork on a cloth napkin. This goes in the indigo OP along with other just-in-case items. Toying with pulling this out, as I rarely remember to use it.

"Emergency food" (as in, I forgot to grab lunch) Kind and Z bars. These go in one of the side front pockets.

In UV Dyneema size 1 stuff sack: keys, including a Photon Light Doug Ritter micro flashlight. And a Mark II Viper. This goes in a side pocket.

Orange hard glasses case. For carrying my glasses when I'm wearing contacts. Main compartment, interior pocket.

In Solar size 2 TSS: pink wallet. Goes in main compartment. Side pocket.

Purple SmartWool armwarmers. New addition to EDC, intended as a backup if I'm wearing short sleeves and want extra warmth. Debating whether to set these aside for spring/fall, as I rarely wear short sleeves in winter. But it's a nice compact way to bring an extra layer, of sorts. If the weather is warmer/transitional, I stuff a hoody (Icebreaker Quantum just fits, with some coaxing) in the bottom exterior pocket. May or may not work for others depending on what size you wear/how bulky your outer layer is.

Square Aubergine knitting tool pouch. Goes with the knitting (green material just above the KTP) and the orange Madbird project bag at top right. (I have lots of TB yarn stuff sacks... they're full of WIPs right now. The YSS are especially great for keeping my projects clean and dry when I'm using an open-top tote. I do like a cotton project bag for when I'm someplace where I might not want the crinkle of Dyneema to draw attention to me though, say like a classroom. ) All the knitting stuff goes in the Madbird project bag, in the main compartment.

Reading glasses in a purple neoprene sleeve. Sometimes I just put the glasses directly in the Ultrasuede pocket in the side compartment.

Lip balm in the yellow tube. Goes in the small front pocket so I can grab it quickly.

NOT SHOWN: iPad mini in a Speck hardshell case. I just put this in the main compartment with the screen facing against the back of the S19.

                  Inside:

I added split key rings to the O-rings and one of the Cache loops, so that I can fit more key straps per O-ring, and for an extra attachment point towards the front of the Synapse.

                  <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/124667493@N07/16260976986" title="image by haraya blu, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8585/16260976986_92fe9ed0fa.jpg" width="374" height="500" alt="image"></a>

And here's everything loaded in the Synapse 19! (Oops, forgot to put my HydroFlask in the earlier contents photo. That would normally go in the front bottle pocket, though when the bag is fully packed I find it easier to put it in one of the side pockets. - I actually prefer the way that water bottles fit in the Smart Alec side pockets, as it doesn't seem to matter whether the bag is full or lightly packed, the bottles still go in. )

Lovely photos, Ilkyway! And I do love your Indigo pack. <3 How do you like your Freudian Slip? I've been debating getting one for my S19. Would it hold an iPad mini, do you think? Mainly I want the FS for holding papers occasionally - I don't carry papers very often but when I do, it's nice not to fold or wrinkle the sheets. I don't need the FS pockets as much. Wondering if it makes the bag very rigid.

                          Okay, here we go.

The first (sideways) picture is of my Cocoa S25, which I carry around most days. I work at home, so no work gear here. Three keystraps, which have my keys (duh) a flashlight (purple O-light) and a mini COP with my bus pass and change. I love this setup because it lets me beep my bus pass without having to take it out, and on buses when I get a ticket I might have to show an inspector later, I stick it right inside and know I won't lose it. (Those of you familiar with the "honor system/inspector" system of public transit know the horror of seeing an inspector and not knowing where you shoved that tiny scrap of paper...) Anyway. Bottom pocket has a Hadaki cosmetics pod with diapers etc for my little ones; I usually leave that open inside the zippered-closed pocket so I can grab necessities as needed.

Why do I carry such a big bag for so little stuff? Because this is the bag I take to drop kids off at school in the morning. Then I stop at the grocery store and walk back home with whatever I need in here. I especially like the S25 for this because of the sternum strap; even with the baby in the front carrier, it rides nicely and is comfortable.

Second picture is of my Pilot, which is my work bag. I LOVE this bag. If Tom himself had sat down late into the night, scratching his head and trying to design the perfect bag for the telecommuting speechwriter, he would have come up with this. I take it with me to events and on trips to the office (usually about a week at a time, international travel).

Center: Pilot (black Dyneema/Wasabi) with my laptop in a neoprene case. To the right is a COP with chargers/thumb drive; I usually have another one in there with my 220/110 plug adaptors, but I'm home now. Next to that is another COP with business cards and building ID, needed every time I get on an elevator. At the bottom is a SE, which contains my wallet in the center, my phone, and in the outside pocket, passports. (I've had up to 7 in there at once. They fit.) The SE and my iPad go in the two bellows pockets in the main compartment of the Pilot. Purple organizer pouch with computer charger goes in one of the outside pockets, along with Kindle. Other outside pocket has the small organizer pouches, my glasses in a hard case, pens etc in it. The center pocket usually has either a water bottle, bottle of Diet Coke, or a small stuff sack with knitting in it. The whole thing rides on an Absolute strap, and gets compliments on a daily basis. Have I mentioned how much I love this bag?

haraya: I love how your nail-polish matches the interior of your S19 and it looks so good in contrast to the exterior!

As for the Freudian Slip: I like it so much. Without it everything in the main compartment tents to play hide and seek at the bottom of the pack. This way the load is much better distributed over the hole bag. I can find everything without looking as everything has its dedicated space. But you have to bear in mind, that it takes up space. For me the Synapse 19 is more about many small or flat items so I can afford to lose space to gain organization.
As for the iPad mini: I do not have one of thous. How ever: in the paper slots it would fit without a doubt.
What I like so much in addition to the organization: The S19 does not do that "egg-thing" with the FS. The Freudian Slip gives it enough backbone to hold its form so much better.

Thank you so much for the very helpful feedback on the FS!! I can always picture things so clearly when you describe them. Hmm, decisions, decisions...

The little swift has been my EDC most of the time.
The SE hold my wallet, folding wayfarers and regular glasses.
The SYSS hold my sock knitting.
The 3DCOC hold small panda shaped shears, hand wipes and shout wipes, makeup, folding brush, Advil, small first aid kit, tweezers, and a nailpolish remover wipe. I love that I can see what I have and what needs to be restocked quickly.
In the pockets of the LS: one tilt a whorl supported spindle, one note book and my handy TB ruler
