          It is indeed possible - even if it took me nearly all day of playing to figure it out.

          You need to stay several moves ahead of the cat - work every other spot on the edge/edges that the cat is headed for. Don't try to work the spots near the cat until it gets to the edge. Then you can fill in the alternate spots.

              Thanx, Rister! I would have spent all day trying to figure it out... and I only like to try if I know for sure that there is a solution so I don't waste my time. So many computer games are timedrains! (i.e. Bejeweled, anyone?) By contrast, I luv Sudoku!
