    Parkinson's Law (for Bags)

    Hiya!

You've all heard it before, Parkinson's Law states that "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion"

Well I've discovered that this works for bags, "The kit carried in a bag expands to fill the available space"

Or is it just that I'm a kit/gadget freak?

Actually, this has become a problem for me. I've become pretty adept at efficient packing-and the Tom Bihn bags hold so much-that they can get darned heavy at times. Even my Western Flyer! So beware, light packers, and avoid the temptation to pack them to maximum capacity!
Western Flyer (crimsom) with Absolute strap, Zephyr (black), Medium Cafe Bag (steel/olive), Shop Bags (solar, steel), Large Cafe bag (navy/cayenne), Small café bag (forest), Tristars (steel/solar and indigo/solar),Aeronaut (steel), Side Effects (old skool black cordura, olive parapack), Imagos (steel, cork, wasabi, and aubergine, hemp, steel), Dyneema Western Flyer (Nordic/Steel) and miscellaneous packing cubes, pouches, etc.

This is why the WF was torture back when it was just a one sling-strap deal. But at least it made me more weight-conscious when packing!

Mine is a sling strap model. So I have to be especially careful with packing it. I keep thinking about buying a new one now that it is a proper backpack, but it seems an indulgence.

Maybe if hunter green came back...
