    Vapur collapsible bottles

I recently came across a great product--Vapur collapsible plastic bottles. When empty, you can roll them up or store them flat. They weigh practically nothing and tuck into most any Tom Bihn bag. They're BPA free and made in the USA. Also, the company seems like the kind of place I like to support, donating 1% to projects dedicated to world water issues. Right now they're involved in a clean water for Haiti project.

So, if you like packing light and are looking for a reusable, washable, lightweight bottle that packs easily anywhere, give this link a look: https://vapur.us/

Cool. Thanks for the link, flitcraft -- we'll order a sample to try out ourselves and see how they work in our various water bottle pockets.
Have a question? @Darcy (to make sure I see it)

Current carry: testing new potential materials in the form of Original Large Shop Bags.

i bought the Vapur .4L Anti-Bottle. Here are some pics of the bottle filled with water and an empty one in my Co-Pilot. In the middle section, in the left compartment and the main compartment. Also standing next to the CP and hooked on to the shoulder strap connection.

Also, took a pic of the .4L in the Ristretto for Ipad. In the front, top cap is just a little above the zipper or at the zipper line.

I thought Platypus was the first company to do that.

Yes, platypus came out first, i think. I have one but it was too big to carry. I wanted a smaller form. I believe the smallest platypus is at .5L. Also the basic ones don't come with a carabiner to hook to your bag or to belt loop. The value is more carry friendly. But if you need to hold more water go with platypus because the biggest they carry is 1L.

Any other quality comparisons between the two bottles, hibell? I've checked and neither brand is available anywhere near my location, so I'll have to order online. I'm looking for a 0.5L size bottle.

The Platypus has definitely been around for a long time. But these Vapur bottles are really very attractive. And the idea of using the carabiner is really clever! You can hook it to a belt loop or on a bag strap... but cleverest of all is that it appears you can fold the bottle up and hold it in place by hooking the bottle through the carabiner. Genius!

Darcy -- If you go to the product page at Amazon, it has a ton of reviews from people, both pro and con. I found it quite informative.
