This is kind of bag related, but I didn't know where else to put it, Sunglasses case?

I found a soft-sided sunglasses case at the Walmart optical that has a black plastic clip on the end. It comfortably holds my Suntrends, although I don't think it would tackle my Oakleys very well. I think I paid all of $6 for them. It's not a metal clip, but it would attach to an o-ring.

I have a Bolle sunglasses case which has a small spring clip on one side similar to those in the end of a TB key strap. Googling for "Bolle glasses case" shows up lots of similar ones. Oakley used to do something called the AP glasses case which might fit the bill if you can manage to find one. My Oakleys (30 pairs and counting...) generally live in one of the various sizes of soft vault case when out in the world, although those don't have any obvious attachment points for a clip or lanyard unless you rigged something through the zip slider.

What sort of sunglasses are you dealing with?

Apologies for resurrecting an ancient thread, but I'm looking for a sunglasses case for when I'm not carrying my S19. As has been mentioned, the small padded pouch is a bit too small whereas the medium is way too big - what would be ideal for me is a larger version of the pocket pouch with an ultrasuede lining. If clipped to an o-ring, there wouldn't be much danger of the glasses falling out.

I know I could probably get an alternative elsewhere, but I suspect it will be hard to find one with a clip that I can attach to a ring

I am a big fan of Oakley cases. The soft vaults are a great cross between being protective yet not overly huge. Take a look at these- should fit KS sunglasses. Oakley LARGE SOFT VAULT - Purchase Oakley eyewear accessories from the online Oakley store

Well my order came and the Cork Kindle Pouch fits the rear pocket of the FJN perfectly. I'm going to use a key strap to tether it in, but honestly the fit is so snug, it's not needed unless I plan to be rough with the FJN.

I'm so tickled with everything in my order. All of it is a little better than it was in my mind. Reviews will be forthcoming when I get more time to actually use them. But the initial play time has been awesome!

Eta, I just realized I posted this in the wrong thread. Whoops.

I am not really a fan of floral and busy patterns.

My own glasses and sunglasses have the same big purple shades, they are wide plastic frames that were designed by Joan Collins before 2008 because they were on sale at that time.
The frame were so old, they didn't have any case for them but I wasn't about to pass up big plastic true purple frames on sale.
The leftover sunglasses cases the optometrist gave me were very very flimsy and bulky, not something I wanted so I tried on the Small Clear Cordura Pouches I had and they fit perfectly.

I forgot about Cork, definitely try the Cork or consider the Padded Pouch. I have one in Medium for my picture/video needs and it's perfect.
Another idea is to try your Kindlle Pouch or a Kit with a couple of Cleaning Cloths wrapped around a regular eye glass fabric case. (the Kit/Cleaning Cloths idea is my own, sort of a made do with what you have, during a move, kind of thing)

Those are just a couple of things I tried and I just wanted to share.

Pretty, but my glasses won't fit in this case from the measurements. It's not deep enough

HI dorayme, I'm not sure about the responsibly made part, but some Vera items are still made in the USA. I like the Floral Nightingale print. Its something else to look at until Tom has time to make us one.

Glasses, even big ones, fit in a Small Clear Pouch, provided the lenses are not too curvy because it is a tight fit .

My preference would be to use a Padded Pouch if I had to be on the go, and constantly needed switching between glasses and sunglasses.

This is one of many instances when a new size of Pouches between Small and Medium would shine.

It would allow ease of putting things in and out quickly while avoiding the footprint of the Medium Pouches which are almost as big as the Small Cafe Bag and a perfect divider for it.

  • This is kind of bag related, but I didn't know where else to put it, Sunglasses case?

My return trip to the Optometrist/Ophthalmologist's office today yielded me being able to not only pick up my new PURPLE glasses and a couple of boxes of contacts, but a nummy pair of Kate Spade Soliel shades.

I haven't worn contacts in over a year, long story nobody really cares to hear, and I had done some horrible things like leaving my previous pair of Gucci Acetate shades in the glove-box of my minivan for that duration of time. I was lovingly reprimanded by the Optometrist that the heat warps Acetate eyeware, and I should never leave them in the car if I care for them so I need to adopt better care procedures.

    My glasses are a non issue. I love the cases they come with. It's compact and it folds completely flat when I don't need to use it, but;
    a. since I wear small glasses it's too small for the sunglasses
    b. I always either need the glasses on my face or they are in the case when I am sleeping or wearing contacts so nothing else can use the case at that time.

I'm mostly pretty blind without eyeglasses or contacts.

The KS case that the Optometrist provided is a gorgeous color, just a shade or too deeper in value than Kiwi. But it's bulbous and will swallow the inside of my purse. I tried another case I had on hand that my Gucci pair has lived in (ironically KS when I complained about the bulbous Gucci case they provided) and they won't fit. So here I sit, needing to carry my shades in my handbag and no solution with which to carry them. Too bad TB doesn't make eyeglasses cases. Ultrasuede is such a nummy fabric, I know if that were the lining, there would never be a scratch.

Anybody have any recommendations for a safe, adequately sized, strong, responsibly made case for my new oversized shades?
