I have seen similar messages but I thought each site had their own app. But maybe they all use this app that you mention.

My problem is that I don't want to encourage my forum posting/browsing! Yes an app would help but I just think forum posting is like crack to me at times. Speaking of which, what am I doing here?

Yea so far the only thing I don't like is the inability to "Like" posts. But I end up on my laptop enough that I can catch those eventually.

is an app that will access these message boards ("there's an app for that").

I finally downloaded it. It's called Tapatalk, and it's $2.99 I believe, and I love it. It's so much easier than using the Safari. I just went to the search function, did a search for Tom Bihn, logged in, and now I can read the forums and post and respond in a manner much faster and easier (with simpler layout) than using Safari.

I'm not sure if this is available on other notebooks but maybe do a search!
There have been a few posts from users originally requesting Tapatalk support for the forums, and then later responding with comments about usage. You can read my summary post about the experience using Tapatalk for the forums on iPad and iPhone. Tapatalk is cross-platform, and one of the killer features is that you can upload photos directly in app. The only other iOS app that I know of that will support that function is the iCab Mobile web browser app.

OK, having said that, it's still not possible for me to "like" posts that I read with the Tapatalk app, although I can do this through the Safari web browser. I also can't preview my posted replies. There are a few other minor confusing points that only affect moderation through the Tapatalk app, but overall I agree that this is a good app to use.
