    Messenger Bags

OK, public apology time. I have always posited that I don't really "get" messenger bags. They have never seemed to work for me and the way that I pack and travel.

I have a power trip to CES tomorrow. Too much time on an airplane for one night in Vegas, but hey, what is a techno-geek to do?

None of my TB stuff was quite right for a one night plane trip with electronics but no laptop. Correct solution? A messenger bag. Guess I will have to start browsing the Ego and Id pages...

At least the bag is filled with TB packing cubes and organizer pouches!

Anybody need me to scope anything out at the show?

I decided to stay home this time.
The show is just not what it used to be and CEDIA is more geared to me now.
Are you doing the whole January deal there and going back and forth the next few weeks?

I use the SE or EB when I have a trip like that and they are perfect for me.
That way I can pick up Lit. and Swag and break my back getting it home to never be seen again!
Of course at CES I am a buyer and you are a seller too.

      Have Fun,or Try!

        Hey Ed,

i will do a couple of days in Vegas and then home and then a week in Anaheim for NAMM...fun, fun, fun!

I am dragging along a Packing Cube Backpack in case I pick too much stuff up, but I loathe literature so it has to be really cool for me to pick up paper...

I think the Large Cafe Bag is perfect for a sans laptop trip. It can even hold a netbook with Cache so I know an Ipad can fit.

Litterature and gizmos, don't overdo it. I used to live in San Francisco and attended most MacworldExpo between 96 and 05. The amount of stuff I kept were kind of silly, I pared down to badges, pins and little novelty stuff when I had to move cross country.

The Packing Cube Backpack, no matter if it is the one with a bottom zipper (Aeronaut) or the one with a side zipper (Tristar), is just perfect for quickly stuffing stuff in a secure manner, then go on your way to explore something else.
Perfect for conventions and expos (wish it had been invented when I attended the MWE.)

Samsung was useless but Verizon had them on display and they said March...

Thanks....now I hope they come out with a wi-fi only version. March is about the same time Apple should announce new Ipads. I'm hoping for a 7" Ipad.

You and me both. I own an HTC View and I love the 7 inch format. Not sure why Steve Jobs panned it so hard.

I'm assuming because they don't want it to dip into the iPod Touch market. On the websites I frequent that cover Apple related news, there seems to be a trending thought that Apple might release a "pro" iPad version with the higher resolution screen and other goodies.

Having never used the smaller tablets, I personally wouldn't want to consume media on anything smaller than the current iPads.
                  Super Ego w/Seat Belt Buckle [Black/Steel/Wasabi], Cadet 13/15 [Cardinal/Steel], Aeronaut 45 [Cardinal/Steel], 13" Ristretto (Old) [Olive/Cayenne], Synapse 19 [Indigo/Iberian], Camera I/O, and a whole bunch of other goodies.
