Thank you, Moriond, for letting us know about the free Fodor Apps. I've downloaded them onto my phone and look forward to using them in the future...especially the SF and NY ones.

Thanks Frank II, I actually got the info from your blog. I downloaded the apps this morning (24 Apr) for free. I haven't had a chance to check them out yet.

Thanks so much for the heads-up, moriond. I've gone ahead and posted about the sale (with a quickie review) up on my Travelite FAQ site (Fodor’s iPhone Travel Apps Now Free « The Travelite FAQ).

    Jeff and Others,

I realize I should have posted this under the Travel Tips sub forum, so I've moved the thread. Hope this isn't a problem.

Go right ahead. I feel as though I should have tried to search the Fodor's support site or blog for information about the occasion or length of the release. However, I just noted that the price was just dropped today, and a quick search didn't bring up any other reported information.

@jeffmac: You're welcome. You can read about Rome again! But seriously, I think the mTrip guides were more interesting.

  • Fodor's Travel Guide iOS apps free today (April 23, 2012)

    Hi All,

Since there was positive response to my post in jeffmac's Italia! thread when the mTrip travel apps went free, I thought I'd mention that the six Fodor's travel guide apps for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch for NYC, London, Paris, San Francisco, Rome, and Barcelona are free today. (I don't know how long this will last; it just happened today).

    Here are the links:

These are universal binary, and will work on either iPhone or iPad.
