First night with the new Empire Builder...

so far so good. great looking bag, great inner visualization from the wasabi interior. my poor freudian slip feels left out though, as it seems kind of redundant. will probably be relegated to spot duty. My Western Flyer seemed way too happy when I unclipped the brain cell and put in the packing cubes...

spent a good hour last night playing to figure out the optimum utilization of the EB. the first of many, I am sure. The 4Z brain cell for the 15" Macbook Pro is a bit of a beast. I like to keep my power supply in the same compartment as the computer, usually just in the webbing of the brain cell, so that takes up a good chunk of the main compartment. still have three dividers in there too. i guess if i ever really needed more room there the brain cell could go in favor of a neoprene sleeve and there would be a huge amount of additional space. portfolio/notebook in the back pocket for easy access, portable hard drive and cable, pens, business cards in the front organizer slots, portable surge protector and airport express in a padded pouch in the bottom of the front slot, presentation cables and pointer in a cordura pouch in the inside front pocket. so far nothing in the two outer pockets but likely there will be ipods involved. still plenty of room left for phone chargers, powermonkey, etc when I might need to add-- maybe the snake charmer in the bottom of the organizer section-- hmmm...
