Hi,
I am home from a trip to Edinburgh. Felt a bit silly lugging a bag across the Atlantic just for shopping, but many shoppers had their own bags (and everyone bags his own items--no baggers on staff). I really! appreciated the Shop Bag's padded handles on the 1/2 mile walk back to the apartment. It was comfortable all the way, no problem hanging on, at all, to the handle. I had that gorgeous view of Arthur's Seat everyday for a week!
Visited Greyfriars Bobby while there. Showing off my new Medium Cafe Bag in plum/olive next to his statue. The Medium was a great size to use as my personal item on the plane and then as my day pack, throwing the strap cross body to tramp the hills of Edinburgh.
Didn't take a picture but I used a Clear Organizer Pouch, mini-size, clipped on the end of a Key Strap for all my change (1 penny, two pence, etc., and don't forget the UK has the 1- and 2-pound coins). The Key Strap was clipped to an inside O-ring but then I let the pouch on the end of the strap go into the back open-top pocket (hope you can picture that, used the o-ring on the side that has the higher elevation of the back pocket edge). I could pull up the pouch by pulling on the key strap, take out change, and then let the pouch and strap go down into the back pocket.
Other Bihn items with me were a large Western Flyer (WF) packing cube, 2 small WF cubes and a Snake Charmer, which had adapter, charger cords, and other items in one side and my travel companion in the other. I have a little stuffed dog, he isn't too big, kinda flatish, and he tucked comfortably in the other pocket :-) I couldn't make everything I packed fit in my steel Western Flyer, but instead used the cubes and charmer to organize everything in a one-compartment bag. The WF may get its chance next trip. I keep trying to take less while traveling. Not that everyone has to pack light, but traveling alone, the less I have, the easier to keep track of everything. Cheers.
