    A packed little swift

If you'll forgive my annoying voice and the fact that I repeat "knick-knacks" 535 times in this video, here's a short video of what I carry around in my Little Swift

Great video! Thank you for sharing it with us! It would seem we carry around many of the same items! We all have "Knick knacks"!

By the way, your voice is in NO WAY annoying! :)

        thanks Nana!

my bags are a black hole of "stuff". That's why I don't have a large cafe bag or a brain bag - I'd just fill them to capacity and break my back.

Speaking of the cafe bag - maverick, has anyone compared a medium cafe bag and a ristretto for ipad? I was curious and wanted to see some pictures of the two...

          hi peregrina!

the video demonstrating how the ipad can be carried in different tom bihn bags shows the ipad cache in the medium cafe bag, and also shows the ristretto for ipad.

there is a video of the ristretto for ipad, and there is also a video of the medium cafe bag (but without the ipad inside).

i know there exists somewhere an olive/wasabi medium cafe bag that would look most wonderful in a video! :)

          thanks!

thanks for all the links ;) I had seen your video on the ipad and the various bags - I just wondered if there was a discussion of the main differences and how one (ristretto) compares to the other (medium cafe bag)

Funny - I watched the video before I read this thread, and I didn't notice an over-abundance of "knick knacks"! Thanks for the video! I hope you do more. Maverick's videos are fantastic, but it's always nice to see a more feminine point of view!

i totally agree - i'm super thrilled to see peregrina's videos! seeing how different people use their bags provides insight into the possibilities.

plus, it's really a lot of fun to put a video together!

i hope that with time, we have more people making videos demonstrating how they use their tom bihn bags.

i think the medium cafe bag will hold a little more than the ristretto for ipad.

life is a little crazy this week, but let me see if i can put together a video over the weekend.

                        Hi Peregrina!
Liked your video of your Little Swift, but I have one question or observation... Do you always carry your iPad and if so, why then do you also carry a Kindle and an iPod Touch. It seems to me that the iPad can replace those other two items and perhaps make the load a little lighter.

                          Hi Colortini,

They are all fairly new acquisitions so I'm still sorting out their uses - sometimes I do use both the kindle and ipad at the same time. For example, I sometimes need to take more copious notes on a particular text and I find that the kindle keyboard is a bit too slow. In that case, I may open the book on the kindle and take notes on my ipad. But I mainly use the kindle for those situations in which I *just* want to read something but don't want to be distracted by the internet. I find that thet ipad is so much fun that I end up procrastinating too much checking facebook, email, twitter, when I should be reading an article. Also, the kindle is the reader of choice for when I'm sitting outside.

The ipod touch, on the other hand, is my organizer. The ipad can and does everything the ipod touch does (other than take pictures) but if I'm walking down the street and need to check what time is my appointment or see the directions to where I'm going, the ipod touch is what I reach for. It would be too cumbersome to pull out an ipad for that.

Also, if I'm going to a cafe with my husband, I'll bring both the ipad and the kindle so that we each can have one (he is still in the phase of testing them to decide what he wants).

To me it is the same as carrying a laptop and a paper notebook. Theoretically, the laptop replaces my paper notebook but in practice I end up using both
