Here are some brief thoughts on the Addax 26. I received this bag from TB free of charge, my opinions are my own. (Edited to add the 26, I forgot to clarify that!)
When I first opened the box I thought I had gotten another Cambiata. They’re both quite square with a vertical side pocket. I like the square shape of these bags. It really opens up the interior space and is very practical for things like folders, books, etc.
I’m going to keep my writing short this time and add to this post once it is established. (I struggle with the photo uploader so I’m giving myself time to add them in) Questions welcome! I will have plenty of time to take extra pics and do comparisons tomorrow in the daylight (it is well into the evening here now).
TL;DR: If 26L is the right size for your trip, I would be hard pressed to find a better layout for one-bag travel. The two front pockets and two side pockets can handle small everyday essentials, snacks and a drink, while the large interior and tech pockets can manage the rest. With all of my daily items in the Addax, I can still fit in two PCSBs and a couple of small pouches for toiletries and tech. The 1.5” waist strap makes me feel quite confident that I could take this on a trip even if it was quite heavy and I was walking 2 miles home from the train station (as I did with a different bag on my last trip). This wouldn’t be my choice for day-to-day unless your day-to-day would benefit specifically from a very tall roll top bag. Like cyclists, for example, or if you ever have occasion to carry home a bundle of willow (see pic).
