Saturday knitting class, same bag & pack out as previous, just one less YSS

Grass and UV are very happy together.

Travel Stuff Sacks and Yarn Stuff Sacks seem to multiply and are now colonizing my rocking chair (ie, I need to do some chores, pick up stuff around my apartment). The Dawn 210 Ballistic Cubelet is how I carry notions when I'm not carrying the full Swift.

Ursa 525 Ballistic Monster Truck which is supposed to be holding all the extra Yarn Stuff Sacks filled & empty (when they're not roaming around) and some needles & a Large Travel Tray in Moab 200 Halcyon holding yarn scraps

Morning ramble, with Taiga 400 Halcyon/NWSky 200 Halcyon Zeitgeist holding Microlite water bottle, tiny non TB bag, mask in inside upper pocket, and an Olive 525 Ballistic Cubelet with the normal hygiene conveniences (sanitizer, eye glass wipes, tissues, etc). I went via the small Farmers Market closest to me (just to have a waypoint on my route) and realized I am out of celery... which led to random strangers smiling and commenting as I continued my walk, so, nice to be a spot of random frivolity in someone's day 🙂

Walking a couple miles with farmers market hauls was common and unremarked in Philadelphia when I lived there and in San Francisco & the Bay area in general when I lived there... but in car centric LA it is more of an oddity.
Also finally stopped by an amazing patisserie... the macarons and celery will fight it out.

Forgot to post this before in this thread (have posted elsewhere before), the other TB item that lives in my car & is super useful for containment is a Small Travel Tray in NWSky 200 Halcyon that holds stuff that otherwise would slide out of the cubby in the front of my car. The balance of structure & squish means you can fit it into weirdly shaped spaces.
It works so well, I recently gave a Large to my parents to use in their car (which annoyingly has just pillars, so the sides are open & everything falls out into the footwells).

        Week 4
Taiga 400 Halcyon/Taiga 200 Halcyon Paragon...TB gave me this to evaluate when it debuted. I like how simple and useful it is for dump & run type of packing... The S19 is more about consistent carry/organization.
It went with me on my cross country road trip/sabbatical and was fantastic, I used it for everything. I prefer this pack to the DLBP (esp in the Halcyon). It's slightly bigger/bulkier, but still very packable. No back mesh, but that's not mandatory for me.

Pretty much the same pack out... Everything fits in the main compartment, laptop in the built-in sleeve...I put the GW into the front pocket and the Fjord Passport Pouch with mask in the inside pocket (not pictured)

I'm driving/traveling later this week, so the last rotation will be the Cambiata to accommodate the bump cap with my work stuff, plus either a T30 or T45 for the clothes, etc. for the trip.

G42 How do you like the A30 small laundry packing cube in graphite piscine? I have the A30 cubes in Aether (both the earlier all-fabric options, and the later ones including laundry packing cube options, so I didn’t have occasion to order the versions in piscine).

I know that you put in a request for them to make up a run of Night Flight Travel Duffel packing cubes, but I really don’t think resurrecting the original NFTD packing cube design is in the cards for a lot of reasons.Apart from not having the earlier 200d Halcyon and mesh materials stocked for doing this, there are absolutely no other instances where production templates for such setups would be used for any other current bags/accessories. A more viable option, if the TB folks should choose to do this, is to integrate the possibility of adding back the Yeoman Duffels with the additions of some of their packing cubes. I’ve already mentioned that I can use the old Aether Mini Yeoman Duffel Packing Cubes as packing cubes for my Night Flight Travel Duffel. They could use their existing production templates for the old Aether Packing Cubes for the Mini Yeoman Duffel, and try producing them in graphite piscine instead of Aether. It seems pretty close to their existing strategy of transitioning the Aeronaut Packing cubes from Aether to piscine. I don’t know whether this is something they’d entertain doing, and would have to hear back from MikeV on how both the production staff and design staff feel about this. But that would be my suggestion for a possibility.

              Hey moriond

Overall I think it would be useful to have the NFTD size as a encore production run and/or pre-order, regardless of what material or version TB is willing to make.

Or I'm equally supportive of a Yeoman size than can work with multiple bags instead.

Overall, the smaller the bag, the more having a bag specific option makes sense to me. As bags get bigger, it's just easier to Tetris all sorts of things (which is why I have A/T30 cubes that I use across bags including the A/T45)

I love Halcyon but understand they moved to Aether and now Piscine for various reasons. I'm open to any and all of them.

I ordered the Piscine cube specifically to have one more colour code option for my preferred clothing packing option and to see Piscine in an exterior fabric. It's quite nice (I'm biased to blues and greys in general) with a good flexibility and glitter/sheen. If it works for TB and they eventually get more colours, I support that too.

Last bag of the four weeks... I've had this with me on the 1,200 mile or so week long work road trip I'm on, along with the T45 shown earlier.

Seeing your use of the Small Ghost Whale, G42, I know what my next purchase is. I got a nice pen/pencil holder from JetPens and it’s just taking up too much space in my bag. It’s a great case, but just not for me. So as soon as the black or blue small Ghost Whale gets out of production, I’m definitely getting one … along with some other things. 😂

The Small is indeed very useful for standard pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters, etc. I have several so that some of them live in certain bags and can't be forgotten... color coding with the pouches or keystraps is useful too!
