    Strap Wrap on Cafe Bags

When I received the LUSCIOUS Ultrasuede Shoulder Strap Wrap sent to me by my bag benefactor today! zomg, it is so squishy, and so soft, and so cuddly. . . I'm going to be moving this around to use on various bags! I just sat and pet it for a while, it's really that delightful.

It's a great product, and I'm having a hard time committing to carrying my MCB for a day or two with it to "be sure" before cutting off the low profile molded plastic strap pad. My snipping finger is twitching!

IMHO, this is one of those things you just have to experience to appreciate. It kind of just appears to be a sleeve that fits around the strap, but it's like a hug for the strap and your shoulder. I seriously consider it the Absolute strap equivalent (or as close to it as you are going to get) for the Cafe Bags!

The design is simple and blends with the overall effect of the patterned weave of the black nylon webbing. It is for sure on par with the "luxurious" design that maverick described the webbing to exhibit. It's just wide enough to span wrapping around the layer or two of the strap material. There are high quality embossed metal snaps at each end. Sandwiched in between the a length of hook and loop (completely encased when closed) is hardly noticable and aids in the tight fit and prevents slippage.

Maybe it's because I have a tendency to load my bags down with heavy things. Maybe I have anemic shoulders that are wimpy to bearing weight. Maybe it's just full of awesomesauce and something that you can love or not. . . I don't know, but I do love it.

It's longer than the LPMPP and substantially thicker. While the LPMPP has grip, for my shoulders and does help the MCB strap not slip off, it doesn't distribute the weight over the same area as the USSW so for me the overall effect with the USSW is that the bag feels lighter for longer.

As a sidebar, TB decision making folks, could it be a consideration for the Swifts to have Ultrasuede inserted in lieu of the ballistic portion of the handles where the Poron foam is? I bet they would be so soft, and for those with issues of them slipping off, they would be grippier.

Seriously, love the stuff these shoulder strap wraps are made of people, good stuff!
I really, really like TB Bags!

I agree with your assessment of the ultrasuede wrap. I hesitated for only 2 days before I cut the plastic sheath off my medium cafe bag strap. I have no regrets.
Also, "awesomesauce" is one of my favorite terms.

I don't have a MCB but I have Small Cafe Bags, even under the Synapse Backpack straps, I do not consider sniping off the molded Strap Pad.

If the strap is wrapped around the back of a wooden chair, a hotel wardrobe bar, a ballet barre or other long longitudinal pipe, the Small Cafe Bag part that would normally be on the floor can rest/sit on top of the solid molded Strap Pad.

      Very handy! :)

        Dorayme;

Might I suggest you consider purchasing a couple of googley eyes to stick on your strap pad so you can adopt it as a member of your family?

        Tee hee. :-D

Tom Bihn bags are very expressive bags, they would be even more if a pair of those was added to each of them.

However, I don't recommend it, I would be afraid the sticky stuff damage the gorgeous fabric.

But... we could add virtual eyes to our bag pictures. :)

No damage done, ours don't seem to have sticky backing on them :).

It's magic or it only stays on while on a flat surface. :)

Pfft. Those things are practically impossible to damage!

Now I want to get a set of eyes for my Strap Wrap, or at minimum for my MCB. This calls for a trip to the craft store!
