My Iberian small shop bag helped me with a last minute pre-holiday shopping detour this afternoon before the snow arrived.

            Your Photos Are Needed

After a lovely day spent with family, we are loading up to get ready to head to the mountains for some much needed family time. This photo includes my new Smart Alec and the Guide’s Edition Synapse 25. And it’s just barely scratching the surface of the rest of the TB goodies that are keeping the family organized. Son is bringing the Hero’s Journey along with his new Smart Alec in Black Halcyon, and I have several shop bags coming along, too. One is organizing the “pharmacy.” We’ve all had the flu recently. Another bag is bringing food (and my Moveable Feast is also helping with that chore), and another Shop Bag is carrying family games to play.

We’re staying in a well-equipped house, and mostly we plan to heal from being sick and hike when we can. I’m bringing along plenty of knitting and water coloring to practice. Oh, and books. Lots of books! This is so not a one-bag trip!

So, I was sitting eating breakfast this morning when there was a knock at the door, and it was a courier with a box from Tom Bihn! I wasn't expecting it today, as UPS tracking had rescheduled delivery to Friday 29th, due to a delay in arrival at Sydney (the plane got diverted to Canberra due to bad weather). This was a great start to the day! I love the Christmas message on the box.

Mars Red and Viridian are beautiful colours, and photos don't really do them justice. I had to use my new Pop Tote ASAP.

Tom Bihn goodness I received for Christmas!

One daughter gifted me the Deep Blue Pop Tote. I also received gift certificates from my other daughter and my best friend. With those I purchased the Nordic Side Kick, Canyon and Olive Cubelets, and Aubergine Pocket Pouch. Plus received 2 more stickers to add to my collection.

I love the Pop Tote! It is so comfortable to carry. I added my Peace Sign charm right away. I had to get the Nordic Side Kick, because...NORDIC!!!! The Canyon and Olive Cubelets are such a great size. Now that I've seen Olive in person, I think I need to add a Pop Tote in that color to my collection. And I love the color of the Aubergine Pocket Pouch! One happy Bihnion here!!!

Soooooo, after ordering just about every bag TB makes, I've learned that I really love the SK and SE and Mars Red. Even though I already have 2 SKs and 1 SE, I couldn't decide which one I wanted in Mars Red, so I ordered both.

In the "Comments" section of my order I wrote, "Resistance is futile."

And this is what arrived today!!!

On my way home pre-snowpocalypse. I stopped at the Whole Foods in town and grabbed some foodstuffs. Sadly, my favorite sourdough was already gone, but at least there were a few others left. In my Pop Tote:

file folder and two A5 notebooks
cold weather gear: hat, earmuffs, gloves, etc.
                      Starbucks coffee packs
                      square Cubelet
small shop bag with aforementioned sourdough, tomatoes and butter
keys and phone in each outside pocket of the PT

and separately, Travel Cubelet with my wallet, train pass, etc. I find it easier to carry that on my shoulder when I'm on the move. It would have fit in the larger bag though.

I love the compact size and the organizational features.

I’m glad I went with the S19 and not the Luminary :)

My first day with the Synapse 19

I brought my new S19 to work for its maiden outing.

Here’s what I managed to (easily) pack into it:

In the main compartment - a 13” HP laptop (in a Cache sized for the 13” MacBook Pro) and a Travel Cubelet for a quick (pack-less) excursion. I also packed my Pop Tote in there earlier this morning, in case I needed to hit the market on the way home.

In the left side compartment - 2 pens, a Swiss Army pen-knife on a key strap, and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses in a case.

In the right side compartment - an iPhone 6S (there’s room for two), an Epi-Pen, an extra sync cable, and a tube of lip balm.

Not bad for a low-profile pack with less than 1,200 cubic inches of capacity. There was still room in the main compartment for my iPad Mini and Kindle Paperwhite.

I’m pleased with my purchase! I needed a compact pack I could use for EDC or minimalist travel, and the S19 delivers :)

This looks gorgeous! I recently got an S25 for travel and now want an S19 for an EDC/potential one-night travel bag after looking at the Luminary as well. Not many colors available right now and I already have two TB bags in black, two in aubergine. How do you like the blue, and the S19 overall? :)
