I think in the case of @Mavericks’s Brompton, we thought the match was with French Blue:

That Bromptons & Other Folding Bicycles thread from 2014 started soon after you joined the forums. Are you sure you weren’t subliminally influenced?

When it comes to TB, I’m frequently subliminally influenced!

The Night Flight Travel Duffel works well on the back rack too.

New day. New bag. This time with a new to me Ballistic Black/Island (Island, yah!) S19

Still gets most of the commuting gear in it like the S25.

Awesome! Would have expected a steel/island backpack though ;-)

I would have if I could have found one. I have an A30 and S19 in Black/Island as both were bought used. All of my Steel/Island bags were bought new direct from TB. Black is not quite my preferred Steel/Island but still really nice.

Now as a Mars Red fan also, I wonder if they’ll ever make Mars Red/Island!! That’s got me thinking.

I recently needed two bags to count as one personal item but needed them to be separate for different purposes. I remember tpnl posting a picture with this great idea. Using my Pilot and PCSB, both 400d steel dyneema, I attached the PCSB to the Pilot using carabiners. Since the fabric is the same, no one questioned it being two bags. At my destination, I used the Pilot as a briefcase, and when the Pilot wasn’t needed, I took the mini OP Tech strap off of it and attached it to the PCSB and used that as a purse. Looking at the new strap placement changes to the PCSBs that will be debuting next week, I realize I won’t be able to piggyback the PCSB onto another bag anymore, so I need to hang on to my old ones. However, I am really looking forward to the new colors of the PCSB.

Forgive the bad lighting. It almost looks like two different colors.

Once again my Smart Alec saved me. I didn’t have to check a bag home because it fit easily between other people’s rollers.

Photo note: overhead bin contents definitely shifted during flight because when I put the bag up there it was a serious squeeze and totally sideways.

Can anyone help me ID this Brain bag color? I recently scored it on eBay and it is the old Cordura material. Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like French Blue to me. Is it a slightly muted blue, much like the color of the sky on one of those days where it's so clear the sky actually looks a darker blue than normal? That's what French Blue reminds me of.
