My Mars Red MCB as a lens bag--my favorite use for the MCB--as I worked on a job photographing stained glass windows at a local church.

Finally got my Ursa MCB today! And the color is so lovely... I only had an Ursa super mini GWOP until today and the color looks even better on a bigger bag. I’m almost decided to get the Ursa SG23 now. Here’s a picture of my new MCB together with my new coat (which has been the reason I needed another MCB in the first place, red and Aubergine would have been a no go for me). Plus my old and new MCB next to each other.

Hi everyone. I just got a Pilot in Ursa and wanted to try the HLT and Side effect. I ended not liking the HLT as it doesn’t work as well as the SE for my needs, but wow. This color combination is awesome. I have yellowy light so I hope it caught the color correctly. I am looking forward to the upcoming design lab SE in Sitka I saw rumored in another forum.

    Cheers,

Oh, the Brain Bag would make an excellent emergency go bag. Given the wildfires and earthquakes here in California, I may need to pick one up for this purpose. I would want a backpack in the event of a serious emergency, and this has so much space and organization - it would be perfect. Thanks for the idea.

Since the air quality was horrible over Labor Day weekend and I was sticking close to home, I took the opportunity to haul out my emergency kit(s), camping equipment, etc. to replace anything expired, finally make the inventory an electronic list vs paper, etc.
Usually I check the kits once a year, but I skipped last year because I was busy moving apartments, job annoyances, etc.

My 72 hour/Go Bag was a Synapse 25 that I had received in trade at some point (normally it's too tall for my torso to be super comfy for me, but it's fine for emergency bag), but I'm now using that for the slightly reduced content version that lives in my car (my car holds a bunch of other random car emergency/comfort stuff)...
I added some stuff to the apt bag, so I wanted more space and tried out my Brain Bag for it. It looks good, so now I need another Brain Bag, since this Aubergine/Island one is what I take on factory trips that I can drive to (plus, don't we all need another bag???).

Here's it packed up, loitering near my front door with a large Yeoman duffel holding some camping stuff on the shelf behind it.

    Hi folks!

Just wanted to share my thoughts on the V4 mask.

This is definitely my favorite mask from TOM BIHN, followed by the V2!

It may be because it has started to get cool here in the last couple of days, but the V4 mask keeps my face warm on a cool morning — so much so that I want to wear it not just when I’m around other people ;)z It’s also super soft and incredibly comfortable! I think it fits my face well and I really like the blue — i want to describe it as a comfort blue, the way a nice, hot bowl of soup is comfort food.

I will be wearing this through the fall and winter! [emoji1431]

    THROWBACK THURSDAY

The little wasabi Side Effect paired with a margarita is a winning combination. This was taken in Old Town San Diego a few years ago. We are going back to San Diego in a couple of weeks, so this picture was called to mind. Can’t wait until the new 200d halcyon Side Effects are in production.

The pens fit handily in the outer zip pocket, in the inner mesh zip pocket, and in the loops. There's a Reccer spiral notebook and a Mnemosyne 193 tucked under the inside mesh pocket and a FieldNotes Heavy Duty simply sitting inside.

Not sure I qualify as an expert in pens...but I am fond of them for sure... Given your description, I might propose a Pilot Dr. Grip or a Uni Alpha grip.

Do you transport the pens you mentioned inside the HLT 1? If so how do they fit?

Since you are a pen expert, can you recommend a ballpoint with a wide grip, roughly the width of the Bic 4 colors ballpoint but with a cushioned grip?
