@bchaplin, I understand your desire to blend in! How would you 'accessorise' your cafe bag--i.e., what else would you wear? As a chiche often-in-black city dresser, I could see your grey cafe bag working nicely with all black clothing and outerwear plus a patterned scarf that includes some grey--maybe black, white & grey, maybe greys with colour. (In a cooler climate, I often wear a silk scarf that can do double duty, moving from outside to inside, adding both colour and thermoregulatory flexibility.)

Back from a trip to Rome with my DLBP! That backpack is just so awesome. I usually get shoulder pain after a while, but the DLBP is so light with only the essentials in it that I was more or less fine. It's never too big and at the same time there's so much room - I could even do the grocery shopping in the evenings without a problem. I'm never going to give it away now that I know how awesome it is, both in everyday life and on trips. This is definitely my favourite backpack of all time.

In the background of the picture you can see Ostia Antica. Once others come around to sharing their pictures I might even have one of myself with the backpack... Is it strange to hope for some good pictures of myself facing away from the camera?!

Love your picture! Ostia Antica is such an amazing place. My daughter and I were there last year.

Ostia Antica is super lovely! I was able to get a small group tour from an ex-pat (a retired academic who studied Italian art history), married to an Italian artist. He was actually showing his work at the time of our visit so we were able to have a private showing with him as well. It was one of my favorite days in Italy. I totally get what you mean about having pictures of your back to show off the backpack! Of course, I only post as long as my backside looks good. LOL.

Pokilani, that sounds awesome! We had a history student in our small group who had been there before on a trip, he tried his best to recall the details from the tour they did. Also LOL on the comment about only posting if your backside looks good - I would be just the same.

Just realized that I never shared the pictures of my Pilot on the Google Campus (or one of them) when I got to go there for work in December. Back then my Swift used to be the day to day work bag but wanted the more organized and contained Pilot for being in workshops and meetings away from my office.

Luckily my coworker was writing some emails during that time so I didn't have to explain why I was taking photos of my bag ;).
