    My Medium Cafe Bag

I've had my MCB for a little over a week, but haven't really had much use for it until the last few days. I used it while moving into my dorm and have been using it during orientation. I love it! It has really been a life saver. It has allowed me to keep track of all the small, but important things I've been walking around with (keys, schedules, a map, etc.) while leaving my hands free.

My only problem, and this has more to do with me than with the bag, is that with any weight it becomes pretty uncomfortable to carry for long (even with the ultrasuede shoulder strap wrap). I am pretty sensitive to having weight on one shoulder instead of evenly distributed. I am going to try using the waist strap and maybe that will help some.

However, while I will definitely be keeping and using the MCB, yesterday I also ordered (drum roll...) a Synapse (Navy/UV, redranger, if you're reading this, it's because of you're picture)! I'll use it when I feel the weight in the MCB would just be too much for one shoulder and I hope that I will be able to use fairly frequently for going to class.

I'll be back when my Synapse arrives and once I've had more time to use the MCB.

What about trying an Absolute Strap? I am about to order one for my LCB that gets packed up pretty full for my daily commute. From other people's comments I am hoping that it will help with occasional shoulder 'fatigue' (although I could just carry less stuff!)...

I wish I could, but it's not an option for the MCB (the strap isn't removable unless I cut it off). I've been trying to carry it in true messenger bag fashion (cross-body with the bag behind me) and that helps.

Yes, for some reason a cross-body carry is easier on the shoulder.

It also apparently makes a difference where the bag itself is. I was already carrying it crossbody, but I had been carrying it with the bag at my side (up against my leg) and it's been much better carrying it with the bag up against my back.
