This is a photo I took about 6 weeks ago, of our day at the park. I love the LCB, especially the color and the Absolute strap, but the Synapse I got a couple weeks later works a lot better for my needs. I need bags with compartments.

I still adore my Field Journal. Boy is that thing is a work of elegance. For awhile I kept my Kindle in the front pocket, but now it's filled with art supplies. I keep it near my bed and use it as a journal at the end of the day, and will tote it around when I think I might want to write on the go, or draw something.

The Swift Cork is the most versatile and beautiful all-around city bag I've ever owned. It looks gorgeous doing everything from taking books back to the library to toting groceries home to going into a nice restaurant. Every single time I go out with it, someone stops and tells me what a pretty bag it is, and ask what it's made of, and where I got it.

Oh and you can also see the Large Organizer Pouch - those are great, too! I bought several. My kids' school color is blue, so I have a blue one I use just for school paperwork. This works PERFECT as a busy and frequently frazzled mom of grade school kids, because I can keep all their sports paperwork, school handbook, parent permission slips, uniform stuff, all in one place. I keep a checkbook and pen in there too, for those parent meetings where you realize you need to buy a coupon book or a sweatshirt or something. The kids know that if they bring something home from school that Mom NEEDS to get, they have to "put it in the blue pouch", otherwise I won't see it. If they leave it on the counter who knows what will happen, but if it's in the blue pouch I'll get it.

I have another one in purple, my favorite color, that I use for my current personal paperwork. I keep envelopes and stamps in there, bills I need to pay, letters to reply to (I still have a few friends who write paper letters! Kicking it old school), information sheets for various events around town or things I want to remember, receipts for anything really recent that I might need, etc. I have another one in green for the kitchen, for recipes (green to remind me to eat my veggies!).

It works well because I can keep a large amount of paperwork of various sizes in one place; the size is large and robust so I can see what's in there and things can fit without getting crammed or crushed. And stuff doesn't end up scattered all over the dining room table or kitchen counter, or dropped behind the couch, or slid under something by accident. And the color-coding is great because I can glance at them on a table, grab the one I need and walk out the door. For instance, for curriculum nights I grab the blue one and go, and I know anything I need related to school will be in there. For returning a package, I grab the purple one and know that my shipping label and a pen are already in there.

I'll probably be passing down this system to my kids, as part of Life Skills 101. They'll come home from college in ten years with their homework divided neatly into their color-coded Large Organizer pouches. Ha! That'll be my neatnik daughter. My messy son will come home with everything in a paper bag. :)
So much Nordic Dyneema I don't even know what to do with myself anymore. They will bury me in it. "Where's Mom's urn? WHERE DID YOU GUYS PUT THE SYNAPSE 19 WITH MOM'S ASHES?"

LOVE this photo, Hollie, as well as your mom-organization tips. You've got me taking a long, hard look at that Swift....apparently it was long enough that even my hubby noticed and said, "oh no. don't get any big ideas. You don't need another bag..." :) Who me?!

I know what you mean! On Sunday morning I was looking at the Co-Pilot page, getting ready to order one, and my housemate walked by and glanced over my shoulder and announced, "Oh no, she's looking at the TOM BIHN WEBSITE!"

I just blame him since he was the one who first told me about the company. :)

Love this post! hadn't thought about using my Large OPs for paperwork (I carry my appliqué pattern folders in them, lol), but I'm heading home soon and I'm going to start a household to-do system in one. Thanks!!

Hollie, if you have a Citizen Canine and two leashes, you have doggies.

              Could you post pictures, please?
