My best friend is awesome. Why do I say this? Because he got me a WF packing cube backpack for my birthday (WASABI!). Apparently he loved his birthday present from me of a Snake Charmer and cork Organizer wallet so much (we're 10 days apart) that he wanted to return the favor =). So now I have a packing cube too! WOOHOO!
NOTE: In fairness, I am not familiar with any kind of packing cubes. I've always imagined them as "shirts go in this one, pants go in that one". So, my enthusiasm may be misplaced if this isn't your viewpoint or experience =)
When I pulled the packing cube out of the box, my first though was "wow, that's pretty wide and boxy" (duh!). My second thought was "I don't think I carry more clothes than would fit in this...". So... I did a quick test. I "practice packed" a reasonable facsimile of what I would take to a 4 day conference, including a suit jacket. IT ALL FIT. Actually, I had room to spare. I did this in backpack mode, because if it would all fit, then the PCBP is really all I would need for clothes. Oh, and I'm a low maintenance female. So... dress flats, underwear, and socks all fit in the bottom pocket (again, plenty of room to spare). My toiletries fit too (yes, those are minimal too). 4 shirts, 2 pants, and suit jacket in the main compartment (I rolled my shirts & pants, and the jacket was folded around the clothes). Amazing. Granted, I usually pack for family trips in a school backpack, but the PCBP has less depth than a school bp; therefore, I'm impressed.
Now, this may not work for most females, as I'm not overly dressy. But, I think the PCBP is a completely reasonable alternative travel bag in and of itself for light packers or weekend trips. PCBP -- wear your "under"bag like an "over"bag =)

I didn't take a picture, but my laptop and cables actually can fit in there too. I'd just pop em into a LCB though, because they'd be on me all the time anyways.
