    Kya is a German Shepherd but mostly Shepherd coz she likes to herd alot.

    How did I miss this post the first time around?! LOVE the picture! All of the pics of the SA are on men and it is nice to finely see one on a woman for comparison. Makes me realize that the SA isn't as huge looking as it seems.

    Taking a day hike with the Smart Alec

    We always use the Smart Alec when taking any long day hikes. We fill each of the side pockets with
    water bottles and use the large organizer pouches on the inside to store sandwiches and snacks. In case
    the weather is cool then we store a jacket in the outside bungee cord. We also pack Kiya's water dish
    inside along with a few snacks for her also.

    I truly believe that the Smart Alec could be used as the only backpack you would need if traveling light
    overseas especially if one utilized the packing cubes for the large inside compartment. Hopefully on our
    next trip I can test this theory.
