I'm hoping it dries out fairly soon, I am supposed to be setting up stages for the Calgary Stampede " the greatest underwater *ahem* outdoor show on earth" right now my home arena where I do rigging at is submerged up to the 10th row of seats. Not a good thing to have happen before the busiest time of the year for concerts, Dixie chicks, Tim McGraw, Kiss and Carly Rae Jepson are all due to play there during the next few weeks.

Didn't think I'd see another western Canadian on here let alone from Calgary to boot. It kills me a little I'm up working north west of Edmonton right now and not down there helping out. My house is on a giant hill so I had no worries but quite a few of my friends had to evacuate.

Are you home yet Miking? If that was a pic of your building it looks like it might be a while. I hear from a friend on one of the rodeo committees that they may be using stop watches and cameras since all the electrical infrastructure is toast. Cant imagine what the workaround will be for a show that takes a week of set up in normal times... Stay safe!

Made it home today! My place was fine, the downstairs neighbors didn't fare so well, pics to follow later.

Great pictures. Still find it all so crazy. All of my coworkers got out last week and obviously didn't fly in for work this week.

I've started seeing this pop up among other Calgary/Albertan friends and it reminded me particularly of your situation. :)

Glad you and your place are okay. I remember three years ago when there was major flooding in parts of southern New England from a relentless month of storms. Some of the worst spots were only about 20 miles away from me and it's a scary thing to see.
