Moriond, thank you so much! I have the Imago in Cordura and the Co-Pilot in Ballistic, so the comparisons are very appropriate. I can't believe you whipped up all those shots and descriptions so quickly. Amazing!

First off, I DO NOT have a TB briefcase TBAS problem ... this is just temporary to wean me off my TB Backpack TBAS ... :)
Here are a few shots comparing the TB briefcases I have (never as good as @badger or @morind and I am not nearly as color flexible!):
Can you guess what all the different models are? @moriond and @badger- you know too much - to make harder, can you guess the volumes as well?
To supplement @moriond's great shots of the Co-Pilot / DLBC / Pilot:
Co-Pilot / DLBC comparison:
Co-Pilot / DLBC / Pilot comparison:
The DLBC slots very nicely in-between the 2 Pilots and I like the more horizontal look. It actually fits the true Personal Carry-on height - 10" - and not just the sizer dimensions which are an inch longer and wider than the actual limit.
Peanut (she) and Winston (he) say hi to all the other furry friends and thank them for letting them play on the forum for a while - in this post @marbenais’s Rosalind (that last picture really made me laugh) and the cute ones with @Pokilani, @badger, @kkintea and @adalangdon (sorry if I missed anyone)! They are all tuckered out now!
Cheers!Last edited by tpnl; 11-04-2014, 08:38 PM.TB Ballistic Black/Iberian Dyneema backpacks and briefcases for every occasion together with my cherished Nordic and Solar Dyneema!

ETA: Aaaaaah - scroll down through the 19 photos of the DLBC on the website. There is one with a file folder with printouts or swatches of Dyneema and I REALLY think there are some new colors in there - a green that is darker than wasabi and a coral/orange that looks lighter than Iberian. Has this already been posted and did I miss something?!
The DLBCase interior is Steel Parapack, with an inner lined pocket opposite the rail loops that looks exactly like one of the pockets inside the DLBP. I assume the Black Dyneema is lined with the same Black Dyneema inside the Dyneema DLBP. Maybe @Badger can take a picture since it's full dark and I have very poor lighting here.
Also, the colors seem to be normal Cordura colors with Coyote as a brand new Cordura Color. the other colors you mention are Olive and Burnt orange. Linen is also new. They should all be labeled in the drop down menu on the product page.

Actually, I think they sent these to us mods partially in thanks for volunteer activities, but also because most of us have so many of the older bags and accessories that we can field questions about comparisons or which items fit by actually fishing these out to try. The champion of this used to be @Maverick, but I think he's been busy with other things of late. All these people have much better picture taking skills than I do, and have better equipment than just an iPhone!Last edited by moriond; 11-04-2014, 10:18 PM.

And I think thiose colors are black, steel, Iberian, Solar, and Wasabi. If you have another image, maybe you can capture and post it.

Here is what I took today in the DLBC:

Main compartment:
Work issued Dell e7440 14" laptop in a Thule 13" case
Black File Folder
Compact camera
... lots of extra room for at least a 1" binder
Back horizontal zippered pocket:
Black Notebook
Front horizontal zippered pocket:
Flashlight
Bluetooth earpiece in small Navy TB Pouch
Jawbone Mini Bluetooth speaker in case
Iberian 3D Organizer Pouch with laptop accessories - power supply, network cable, HDMI to VGA cable, USB cable
Front zippered slash pocket:
Passport
Samsung Note II Phablet
The DLBC was only packed to medium capacity. I could definitely add a compact umbrella, toque and mitts (I am going to need them soon!). It is amazing how lightweight this combination is.
Here is the required DLBC pet picture to go with the TB bag:

This is Winston (who thinks he is a dog) "No dad - don't make me wear another black bag - I want the linen color one like the person in a previous post is getting!"
I love my DLBC!
Cheers!

Here's Rosalind play-bowing to Nino, the cat who lived a building over from our old apartment. She adored him, he adored me, I thought he was sweet, but he wasn't too keen on my happy not-a-tiny-dog girl.

@marbenais - Thanks for the pic of Rosalind and her furry neighbour. It is cute that Rosalind can play-bow! Rosalind reminds me of my cousin's dog when we were young, always "smiling" and doing tricks.
Congrats on naming all the briefcases - you are right on all accounts. You know your TB stuff. There should be a certificate of merit for people who know so much about TB bags! I hope you get the opportunity to get a DLBC soon!
@JLE - concerning you question about the Jawbone mini case that I use - it is actually a hard foam compact umbrella case made by WindRiver Outfitting Co. I bought it at Marks Work Wearhouse - a company that I think is only in Canada. However, I find that any small umbrella case can work. They make great electronics holders for things like small speakers. Try looking in drug stores or corner stores that sell cheap umbrellas. Also, fabric stores have hard foam cases like this too. Jawbone also just came out with a case for the mini recently too.
Hope this Helps
