Congrats, Lani -- what an impressive accomplishment!

@sim, this is another memory jog of a previous time. Though my view of the Duomo then was at night lit by a full moon. Thanks!

Do you remember my Smart Alec on a thrown of ice from last year? I thought that Nordic looked particular at home on that very cold royal furniture. Here it is to spark your memory:

This year I went to the same place. They had different Icesculbtures and I wore a different Backpack. So even so everything was different there was still Royality involved. See my Daylight Backpack with no other than THE King.

Cant you all imagine how he picks up that pack and walks?

At the same fair (I hope that word is right here) my DLBP wanted to take a ride with a beautiful old-fashioned tractor:

@ilkyway, I have the DLBP in the same plum - purple is the color of royalty! (aka The King).

Mary -- for travel purposes the PCBP has more capacity and more flexibility. I like that I can slide a PCSB right in there and the width fits. I like the DLBP but it's almost like a big purse for me. I like using it for things like light hikes, though. Can't beat it for carrying things like snacks, a jacket, and whatnots.

Congrats, @Lani! I'm training for my first half -- can't imagine a full. My friend did that same event and PRed too.

My niece just ran a half in Cleveland OH last weekend. She's run halfs before as well as a couple of full. She qualified for and ran the Boston several years ago. She trained for Cleveland in order to run with a friend for the friend's 1st. The friend was being supported at the last 20 yards by some guys in order to get to the finish, but the medics took her temp and it was 108°F! She was put in a wheelchair and rolled to the finish and then put in ice and given IV fluids.

I can't imagine running 1/2 mile, much less more! I used to walk a lot, 4.5 mph, about 11 miles every morning before work. Those days are LONG gone.

So, again, congrats. Such a run is inspirational.

Spent a lovely day in Cologne just sitting with my S19, at an open air coffee/ice-cream place and people watching, for hours.

The folks on the London meet-up who went to the Said store there didn't steer me wrong in recommending it. It was amazing, and you should all visit if you're in Rome or London. :)

@marytattoo it's at Via Tiburtina, 135 which is a short walk from Termini, the main train station. (More info on their website here: SAID dal 1923 | Antica Fabbrica del Cioccolato)
