On my way to BOS from DTW with my DLBP (enjoying a Bigalora pizza before I board). No pics but wanted to share a recent text from a backpack shopping friend: "Kathryn bihn bags have the best pockets EVER"

My husband has been using his Packing Cube Backpack as his ECD during our trip to Venice.
I've been using my Packing Cube Shoulder Bag. To keep the bag secure, I take a binder ring and thread it through the zipper pills and anchor it through the strap--works like a charm--it's practically impossible to unclasp with any tension on the strap.

Where did your TB bag go lately
Over the last weekend, my Hero's Journey accompanied me to Iowa (a place I swore I'd never set foot in again) to a dry wedding involving people whom I'd never met.
The main bag held everything needed for two people, including a DLBP fully loaded with a laptop and office supplies.
Here's the DLBP killing some time in a coffee shop and sharing a cup of pour-over with me:
The Top Pack looks a bit like a camera bag when you carry it by the handle. Perfect for stashing your magical Liquid of Courage.

As long as you can justify the steep annual fee, the benefits are pretty substantial.

We each got one and it's essentially 30 minutes of work (to apply and the admin of switching all of our spending to this card) and then getting a check for $4000 3 months later. If one is going to spend a few thousand on travel, it's a really great deal.
BTW, $300 of the $450 fee comes back as travel spend credit -- our credits hit our cards within a day of the spend, so they're fast on getting your money back.

There's not enough courage in the liquid of the $.59 variety. I may have to step it up on the next trip.

In August, my spouse and I (and our Tom Bihn bags) went to Kyoto. We each had an Aeronaut 45 for all of our clothes, etc. I also had my Pilot for various electronics (iPad, Kindle) and books, and SCB as an EDC; KE had her Co-pilot as art bag (for pencil drawing and ink washes) and EDC. I packed my bulkier clothing in my Backpack Packing Cube and then used it as a day pack. Here I am walking through the Tori at Fushimi Inari Shrine.Last edited by wennefer; 09-25-2016, 11:48 AM.Owner of Burnt Orange/Steel Daylight Briefcase , Burnt Orange/Steel Aeronaut 45, Black Dyneema/Wasabi Pilot, Crimson/Steel Western Flyer, Forest/Steel Zephyr, Olive/Cayenne Ristretto for iPad, Olive/Cork/Steel and Cardinal/Hemp/Steel Imago, Plum/Wasabi Side Effect, Nordic/Ultraviolet, Linen/Steel and Conifer/Steel SCB, Steel Breve, Plum/Black Swift, Steel FJN, and various packing cubes, organizer pouches, caches, and other odds and ends.

Went hiking with my best friend in the Freetown State Forest in Massachusetts. Took my Dyneema DLBP--I love this bag for day hikes while I'm traveling!

OK, so I've not actually been yet but I thought I'd post now to see if any other Bihnions will be going to the NFL International Series game at Wembley tomorrow?
Daylight Backpacks packed for an overnight stay in London.
Is it wrong to choose a team because it's jersey goes with your bag? [emoji23]

My A45 (with its set of PCs), Pilot, DLBP, LSB, 2 SEs (1 of them is my hygiene bag), PCSB, medium DOP (best travel pouch ever), LOP (for maps, tourist brochures, etc), and large TS (used to coral/ wrap whatever), went to Tucson - Sonora, MX - Tucson.
I gifted the black halcyon DLBP in the photo to my friend/ travel buddy (she brought me food treats from Japan). The non-TB bags (roller, backpack) in the photo below are hers.
The LSB, LOP, my DLBP and its contents were in my A45 on my inbound flight to TUS.
Now at LAX, waiting for flight to DFW. On the shuttle between terminals 6 and 4, a gentleman with an A30 sat across from me. I stole a photo of his A30 and my Pilot. Sorry for the terrible photo - shuttle was crowded.
The DLBPs served my travel buddy and I well - horseback riding/ hiking through mesquite bushes in Sonora and playing tourist in Tucson. Photos when I get home next week.
