    Shhhh.... played hooky today!

Quick ride up into the Santa Cruz Mountains, through the Big Basin redwoods, stopped in Pescadero for some coffee, then to Hwy 1 and the beach.

I know! It's an interesting color because in subdued, warm lighting it's a quiet color, but in sunlight, even indirect, it really lights up!

Yes, Nordic is really gorgeous in the sunlight. Here's mine on the train in Germany this past summer.

Here's my verde A45 waiting for the metro at DCA Sunday. It was my first time in Washington D.C. I wish I'd had more time to see everything!

Made it to Maine. Going to hit Portland tomorrow for beer, beer, and...beer. PCSB and a Shop Bag should do me just fine.

Our Western Flyers fit neatly under the seats
No need to check bags, overhead bins
struggling with roller suitcases. That is why
we one bag it all the time.

Down in Florida for a quick 3-day visit to handle some family stuff. Managed to get to the beach for an afternoon, but had to do some work this morning at a local Starbucks. The S25 always handles what I need it to.

My DLBP climbed the Cologne Cathedral tower with me today. 533 steps, but the view was worth it!

Went around the Old Port section of Portland for a bit. First went to a great store called Simply Scandinavian. Sampled some beers at Liquid Riot, then went to the Thirsty Pig for great hot dogs and more beer. Stopped at Portland Dry Goods which, if you're a bags & outerwear geek, is paradise, heaven, and Christmas rolled into one. Then off to Rising Tide and Maine Craft Distilling for more sampling. Last stop was in Freeport to hit a few outlets and the LL Bean HQ.

Photo uploads don't seem to be cooperating, see pics here.

@GrussGott, your Nordic DLBP looks good next to Dylan's third studio album. Some of us might have been impressionable teenagers when it was released in 1964.

Our Western Flyers at the Atlanta airport.
Also our small cafe bag just for kicks.

Where did your TB bag go lately

Sydney for 7 days with just my Nordic Halcyon S25 (clothes, toiletries, MacBook and iPad Pro 9.7-inch) and my camera gear in my Pilot.

At Sydney airport, a couple from the same flight, who were my readers, recognized me from the back, because "of your Tom Bihn bags," she said.

And then she asked, "This is the Nordic, right?"

"You seem to know a lot about Tom Bihn," I said, surprised. "You even knew what this color is."

"Yes, we were thinking of buying some for ourselves."

I spent half the week in town for a work thing, and the other half in the suburbs, visiting weekend markets and having Sydney coffee.

                                Sydney coffee FTW.
