    Shop bag with shoulder strap

    Hi - I was wondering if anyone has tried clipping a shoulder strap to the shop bag loops?

    I don't like carrying any bag (heavy or light) on one shoulder so would prefer a cross body option for the shop bag. I have tried clipping a strap on that I have and it sort of works but sort of pulls weirdly. I am concerned about whether having weight in the bag and doing this regularly, causing damage to the shop bag.

    I'd love to know if anyone has done this as an ongoing thing?

    I'd also love to add: properly positioned and reinforced loops to make this customisation an easier option - to a wish list for future shop bags.

    You mean the O-rings and the fabric loops they are attached to? I would not recommend doing it on a prolonged basis at all. The bar-tacking is very tough, but the fabric tape that they are attached to may well tear if you are carrying heavy items often.

    Anyway, even if you were to carry it cross-body, wouldn't the weight be concentrated on one shoulder too? Just wondering.

      I asked about this very thing for the Swift bag, and was told that the O-rings will NOT hold the weight of the bag with contents.

        Thank you both for the quick response. OK that makes that clear - unfortunately! ;-) Still love the shop bag.

        I know it sounds the same to carry the bag cross body on a shoulder but it is actually to do with me lifting my shoulder to carry the weight if I carry a shoulder bag. Somehow I don't do it with a cross body bag. I can't use a mouse for the same reason but track pads are generally ok.

          I second this. I find cross-body carry far more comfortable and having that option for the Shop Bags (which I absolutely love) would make me so happy!

            ...all the more reason for a Packing Cube Shoulder Pack (my name). The size of the PCBP but with the shoulder bag goodness of a PCSB. Hehe
