Hi folks - I'm waiting the Spiff Deluxe to come back in stock, but I'm doing a bit of forward planning. I have a beard trimmer, plus accessories, that I want to get a pouch for. I don't need to take it with me every day, so it doesn't need to go in the Spiff Deluxe, and now I'm wondering what pouch it'll fit into. It's about 7 inches long, so almost all of the medium sized pouches would fit it length-wise, but I'm concerned that the medium may not be deep enough for it. Do they expand out to a decent size? Or should I just 'size up' to a 3D mesh cube?
Welcome!

Or should I just 'size up' to a 3D mesh cube?- External Dimensions - 7.5" tall x 5.2" x 3.5" / 190 x 130 x 90 mm
- Weight: 1.1 oz / 30 grams
- Volume: 125 cubic inches / 2.0 liters
Another option would be to use the Second Aid Pouch, which is sized like a Side Effect (so longer than a 3D cube, if the 7" length fit is tight), but with handles:- Dimensions: 8.3” x 4.9” x 2.2” / 210 x 125 x 50 mm
- Weight: 4.2 oz / 120 grams
- Volume: 90 cubic inches / 1.6 quarts / 1.5 liters (ASTM Standard Measure)
Or, you could use a Medium Size Organizer Pouch, which is generally larger than your spec'd length (by more than the dimensions given above), but I don't know about the depth of your item. The Medium Yarn Stuff Sack would also probably work, though it's not as tall as the size 2 Travel Stuff Sack at 6" tall x 6.25" diameter / 150 x 160 mm), but it's wider, and has an attached clip, so you'd likely be able to fit your item in it, too. A little hard to make these judgements, since I don't know the specs of a beard trimmer! FWIW, my inclination, with no real knowledge beyond the specs you posted, would be to go for a travel stuff sack, followed by a second aid pouch if you need more space and depth, and general flexibility of storing other items. But, I'm pretty ignorant about the other requirements you have.

ETA: Oops, ignore my post, since @Melissa provided better information, and clearly knows about beard trimmers! Also, I took the 7" length you gave seriously, since the external dimension of the 3D cubes is exactly 7", so that could have made the difference between fitting and not fitting.Last edited by moriond; 12-06-2015, 11:49 AM.

In the case Melissa gave, where the beard trimmer was 6" long, a size #1 (mini) Travel Stuff Sack would have worked. (External Dimensions - 6.3" tall x 3.8" x 2.6" / 160 x 100 x 65 mm). We tend to answer conservatively, based on the actual specs that people put into their questions, unless we have independent other information. YMMV.
