Hi everyone,
It was suggested that I take my question directly to the Tom Bihn community in hopes that you could help me decide on a bag. I'm a college age student currently taking some time off and working but I'm a big nature lover. I'm looking for an EDC bag that could hold an assortment of items that would be coming in and out depending upon the days activities. On any given day, it'd need to hold a small/medium notebook, wallet, keys, phone, pepper spray and pocket knife. On days when I'm out in the field, I'd be additionally carrying water, binoculars, and a field guide. I currently have a Magellan outdoors backpack that carries all these things, but I dislike the inaccessibility of having to take the bag off my back every time I need something. I'd much rather have a cross-body bag that would allow me quick access to an item when I need it. Problem is, I want this to be something that will be big enough to carry what I need but not too big for when I'm just running errands in town and carrying the basics. The Medium Cafe looks like a nice size but I just wanted to get some feedback from people who've actually owned these bags that could help me decide. So, all that said, what can you tell me about this bag and what I can expect as far as carrying capacity and versatility?
