Aeronaut questions - hip belt and zippers

Just recently purchased an A45 and am possibly looking to purchase another one - albeit a used A45 or A30
    - can the zippers on an older version be updated to the new lockable version?

How much does the hip belt weigh? I noticed that there is weight for the internal frame but none shown for the hip belt?

I don’t believe the zippers can be ‘updated’ yourself. Perhaps a professional could do the work to replace the zip heads but that would likely invalidate the bags guarantee.

Remember that you lock the older style too using hole in the metal zip pull ends. Just as effective to prevent the opportunistic thief.

Agree with invalidating the warranty/guarantee and that using zip ties is a valid option to lock.
However, I'd be interested in a DIY to do this especially knowing that most in this community are avid sewers/hackers. Although I don't foresee checking in my A45, the locking feature on the newer zippers is a more secure method of locking the compartments.

If anyone who has the Aeronaut hip belt could weigh their sample, I'd be interested in this info as I'm sure others would. I'm actually considering returning the A45 for an A30 but am also looking at the 2nd hand market which.
