LSB and PCSB: Halcyon 200d vs Ballistic 210d

For the Large Shop Bag and Packing Cube Shoulder Bag, how much difference, or what difference(s), does the Halcyon 200d vs Ballistic 200d fabrics affect bag look and use?

For the LSB, does ballistic stand upright when empty better? Does the ballistic fold down as compact or easy as halcyon?

For PCSB, does ballistic give the bag more structure in the ballistic 200d version?

I have the small ZTSB in halcyon and ballistic, and if anything, the halcyon has more structure. The ballistic is more supple, and maybe because it's a tiny bit heavier denier, collapses faster. Both stand up, but gravity affects the ballistic a little more. Subtle as it is, I imagine this effect would be exaggerated in the OLSB? The piping provides the structure, really, so the differences really are negligible.

Island Halcyon OLSB, standing up but sagging (this bag is about a year old, gets used ALL THE TIME, so has softened up)

Iberian Halcyon small ZTSB, quite perky (this one is only a few months old, doesn't get used every day, remains crisp)

Black ballistic small ZTSB, droopy (I just got this a couple weeks ago, have carried it twice, so it's like new)

Edited to add: in terms of packing down, the suppleness of the ballistic fabric turns out to pack down just a teeny, tiny bit smaller and less poofy than the halcyon.

Agree with @Lia.... the fabrics are pretty similar in performance... for me, it's about having other options in terms of colour and the overall 'look' of the solids vs the white stripes

Thanks for the helpful pictures and information. I was expecting ballistic 210d to have more structure based on threads discussing higher denier ballistic vs higher denier halcyon fabric so I am very glad I asked. I had just bought a 'lifetime' supply of original large shop bags in halcyon last month, may need to get a ballistic version to add to my collection.

The only 210d ballistic I have is the forum gift. That seems reasonably see through. Anyone have any experience with a 210d ballistic pcsb. I’d be using it as a day bag. But would rather not have it see through [emoji23]

My Forum gift (the Ghost Whale pouch launching on Monday/Tuesday) is Cloud, which appears the most translucent to me, depending on lighting.
I have the rest of the colors either in TCs, Cubelets, or the black ballistic shop bag and they don't seem as translucent to me. The items are unlined (or mostly, in the case of the TC).

So, if you plan on carrying something with a very saturated and obvious graphic/logo, maybe don't pick Cloud... other than that, can't see it being obvious...

Dawn is also pretty se-through. So is Viridian though, but less so. I find Island to be the least see through but of course it is the darkest of the 210 colors I have (apart from black!)

My grass TC can be see through when a brightly colored item is smushed right up to the side. I keep black camera parts in my dawn cuebelet, which fit loosely, and dont see them inside the pouch. Items squished in my viridian cube show a little, just enough to make me think I've gotten the pouch dirty.
