    S25 Packing Cubes (again)

    Hi all!

I know there have been several (many?) posts about what fits in an S25 but in my 3 hours of search I haven't found a 100% confirmation of what I'm thinking to buy.

I have an S25 and am intending to use it as my one bag for a 4 week holiday. I've test packed it and everything fits in without packing cubes or compression but obviously this isn't very organised.

I'm thinking to buy two A30 small laundry packing cubes to put tallways next to each other as my main packing cubes (one for socks, undies and tights; the other for tanks, tees and thermals). I'll tuck a pair of sandals into the stretchy pocket and might roll up a skirt or two if there is space. I have a Side Effect and could use this as a packing cube or maybe my clear 3DOC on top? With a small size 1 stuff sack tucked in the remaining space?

Will this all fit? Would additional 3DOCs fit in front of the A30 small packing cubes at the bottom to take advantage of the depth?

Any suggestions/opinions/etc... gratefully recieved! International orders are always a bit of a guessing game and y'all helped so much with my last post!

Our trip count down is less than a month now so pictures will follow.

Hi lizalou! I think it would work very well, based on the following logic:

    * In this post, @Ilkyway showed that one large A45 cube will fit in a Synapse 25 if the A45 cube isn't quite stuffed (with room left over for a Small Snake Charmer or similar sized bag on top),
    * One A45 large cube is slightly larger than one A30 large cube (1.4 inches longer and wider, and 0.2 inches deeper),
    * One A30 large cube is the same size as two A30 small cubes.

But I'm afraid that's still not 100% confirmation for you because I don't have A30 packing cubes, so I can't try it out myself. I hope someone else will try it and take pictures for you.

Looking forward to whatever pictures you'll share from your trip! Where are you going?
I have a bunch of great bags. Favorite color combos include Aubergine/Island, Navy/Solar, Forest/UV, Original Halcyon/Wasabi, Cloud/Viridian... and now also Seapine/UV!

I've fulfilled my dream of palindromic-colored nested bags! Navy/Ultraviolet Pilot with Aubergine/Island Side Effect inside: blue purple purple blue. Forest/UV A45 with Aubergine/Wasabi Co-Pilot inside: green purple purple green.

This sounds similar to the packup that @Badger used in the Synapse 25 kitted for summer travel thread. At that time, there were no A30 small laundry packing cubes, but two of these will basically occupy the same space of the A30 large Aether packing cube that she showed in her pictures. I'll quote from the first post in that thread (there are more pictures and discussions later on). Note that Carbon Aether is a retired color. Yes, in this configuration you can place a 3DOC at the top. Another option is to use a Snake Charmer in the front bottom pocket, or a Packing Cube Shoulder Bag (as long as it is not stuffed too full). I like to think in terms of profile equivalencies: a Small Snake Charmer has approximately the form factor of the two 3DOCs front to back (but compressible). Decide whether you want the flexibility of storing individual 3DOCs (which go in other slots in different bags), or an expandable Small Snake Charmer (which had different attachment points, including a loop that can fit over a door knob or hook, and a triangle clip at the end). The bottom front pocket can take up to the Large Snake Charmer (if you need that for cords, power bricks, or cables). Remember that if you pack that front bottom pocket really full (like a fully stuffed PCSB) it will expand into the storage area of the main compartment).

      My criteria for the bag:
      • Large enough that it could handle trips of varying length and involving a myriad of activities.
      • Small and practical enough to function as a day pack in situ.
      • Spacious enough to accommodate an extra pair of shoes.
      • Dirt-repellant.
      • Low-profile and at home in any kind of setting.

The Synapse 25 ended up being my choice.

Then I gathered a bunch of accessories that I could choose from depending on my needs:
      (From left to right)
      • Travel Tray (a most generous gift from the lovely @Pokilani)
      • 3D Organizer Cubes (Mesh, Fabric)
      • Organizer Pouches (Mini, Small)
      • Aether packing cubes (Aeronaut 30, Large and Small)

I limited the accessories with the idea that too much organization would run counter to the notion of quick and easy getaways. All fit inside the large packing cube and are stored inside the Synapse; whenever I need to use the bag for something else, I just remove the cube.
HTH to get started with, and check the thread for pictures of the different clothing packups.

I forgot to respond but thanks to your feedback and photos I've ordered the two A30 small laundry packing cubes (and a DLBP... and a clear organiser wallet and ultraviolet pulls lol ). I think they'll all work really well and can't wait to try the whole set up together! Thanks a million!!

I was packing my S25 today for a trip to Melbourne, its a shame they are out of production because not overly packed large and medium yeoman packing cubes are perfect. I put my clothes in the large and my daughers in the medium.

I removed the back panel this trip just to see how much of a difference it makes.
