adalangdon how very cool is this! Not only do you have bag desings and materials that are no longer around but you have so very cool old lable-desings too. I wonder how many different Tom Bihn Lables you have? Would you try and take a picture with one of each in it?

Hmm, not that many, actually! A few blue labels, one of which has an inside tag with the Port Angeles address and the treasonous tag-line (love it). I guess this was slightly before they moved to Seattle. The O rings on that one are different; more like D-rings than O-rings. Then there are these two that I just posted. The rest are the grey 'Portable Culture' ones and the current 'Made in USA' ones.

I haven't taken the LCB out yet. I can say that the strap material is totally different (a bit thinner, I think), and the interior has a funny wall pocket on one side where the black cordura is. No pen pockets, but I think I will use the funny wall pocket for for my 2 pens and flashlight. There is also a very handy divider pocket on the back wall which I imagine would be great for stashing papers while travelling. I'll be sure to report back on this one later :-)

BTW, one thing I've found very amusing about these older bags is the change in pocket sizes. The MCB has two massive wall pockets, obviously meant for PDAs. Then they shrunk when PDAs died and our phones got smaller. (I was in our equivalent of high school when Palm was big; one of my classmates wrote Palm software as a hobby.) Maybe this means they'll be getting bigger again in the future...
