Which bag would work as camera bag now?

Thanks so much for your effort! I would indeed prefer the messenger style, and am curious if that same equipment would fit into the large cafe bag as well?

sorry i didn't get to put this together last week, but here you have a video of the same equipment in the large cafe bag.

while i was able to get the d700, 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, 50mm f/1.4g lens with its lens hood, and sb-900 flash to fit inside of the large cafe bag, i think the large cafe bag is better suited to carrying just one lens on this body. it could be a big lens - even the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens for nikon.

you won't have this problem with the canon xs body and 18-55mm and 55-250mm lenses you mentioned. you didn't mention a flash, but even with canon's 580ex 2 - these other components should fit nicely.
