When did the Imago get a handle?

That was my pet peeve regarding the Imago which I bought in 2007... now I might need to get a new one

Hmmmm......I don't know, but I will say that I use that handle a lot! I even attach my keys to it with a long key strap, letting the keys dangle into the open pocket.

I got mine in early 2008 (or very late 2007) and it has a handle. I love it-- for me, it's an important feature because that's how I lift the bag! I never thought of attaching stuff to it, though.

Wait, it has a handle now!? That's a little disappointing (that it didn't from the start). I really wish mine had a handle, but it's in such good condition I can't justify buying a new one.

I don't see handle in the photos + my wish for 2010

I love my Imago -- and I have often thought about writing a review about it to extoll its virtues. Truly it is a marvelous and inspired design. I have had it for a few years now and my admiration of it's architecture has only grown. To think, it allows easy and safe access to all my most vital items, things I may require in transit, without having to open and dig through the bag in a public place. My wallet is in the zipper pocket below the flap (very secure, very easy to retrieve), my ipod is one on side, my palm centro is on the other (neither gets scratched! and when the phone rings I know it is right THERE), my GTD note taker + pen is in the open pocket beneath the flap (easy to grab to jot reminders), and my current reading (newspaper, magazine, memo, small paperback, etc) is in the back pocket. My important papers and other cargo? Inside, safe and out of the way until I reach my destination. Talk about ergonomics! IT'S GENIUS!! BRAVO!!!

It's lack of a handle is my only pet peeve. When I look at the photos I don't see a handle -- are you sure? Can one be retro-fit?

If anyone is reading this post from TB, here is my wish for a new item for 2010: I would LOVE an Imago sized briefcase. The Empire Builder and the Zephyr are too big. The Imago is just the right size for a person like myself who likes to carry just enough and not too much, who doesn't need to lug a laptop everywhere everyday (and with smartphones as they are, who really does?), who loves the wonderful design layout of the Imago. Make lined pockets big enough to easily hold an iPhone/Blackberry/Palm Pre/Android. Let me add a Freudian Slip and some folders. Give me the option of a strap but please....Give me Handles!

Wow, it's like benvenuto read my mind...I love my Imago too, but I'd love it even more if it had a handle...and a Super Imago just a bit bigger than the current version would be The Perfect Bag.

Maybe you could request Darcy and send your bag to them to have a handle attached. I am sure any additional cost is better than getting a new bag.

Where is the handle?

I got to admit... I don't see the handle in the online photos, and I don't recall seeing on my wife's Imago either. What am I missing here?
