How much depth can I adjust in the Brain Cell

According to the Laptop fit guide, a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 (12.2 x 10 X 1.25) will fit in a Size 6T, but I have the T60 with the extended battery making my actual dimension about 12.2 x 10.8 X 1.25.

Hence I either need to buy another size or possibly adjust the depth based on a TB video I saw on Youtube. Question is, how much depth can I get, if I reduce the suspension gap to its minimum.

It'd be great if future Brain Cells were constructed such that, about 1 inch can be gained by adjusting the inner protection on both the width and the depth.

It is easy to make them less deep but I doubt there is much play to make them deeper.
I suppose it depends on the amount of suspension they are set up with when measured in the first place.
It could only give a maximum depth equal to the wall height and then there would be no suspension at all.
