Brain Bag: dimentions and packing cubes

    I'm looking for 2 things:

    1) What are the dimensions of the two main compartments on the brain bag. From the pictures and other discussion threads they appear to be about the same in size.

    2) What packing cubes work/fit in the Brain Bag's compartments? I had seen a thread on this previously, but cannot seem to find it now.

I am currently using a back pack for travel that has a 1400 cu in. main compartment. Trying to figure out which of my packing cubes I could reuse on the Brain Bag or if I need to purchase new ones.

    Thanks

    2) I haven't tried it, but I remember somebody saying an Aeronaut large cube works.

Yes, the large Aeronaut cubes work well in either of the Brain Bag's main compartments.

        I am the somebody

I use an Aeronaute Large Packing Cube
        Overall dimensions (as a backpack): 17.5" x 13.5" x 4.25" / 445 x 345 x 105mm
        Overall dimensions (as a packing cube): 13.5" x 13.5" x 4.25" / 345 x 345 x 105mm
and a Packing Cube Shoulder Bag
        Overall dimensions: 11.75" x 7.75" x 3" / 300 x 200 x 80mm

and stuff the rest of the space with things in plastic zip bags.

But... each compartments could fit 2 Packing Cube Shoulder bags, one on top of the other, with 2 inches to spare if my calculations are right. (I am no math major, feel free to recalculate)

I also think that you could fit 2 Aeronaute Large Packing Cubes in each compartment.
I pack mine with the straps out but it turns out that I would have more rooms if I were to pack with the straps in.
I wondered why the zippers were double side, now I know.
I might even be possible to use the straps on the inside to use as compression straps.

        I was hoping to get Tri Star Large Packing Cube Backpack but here are the Overall dimensions: 18" x 12.25" x 3.5" / 460 x 310 x 90mm

        Brain Bag Dimensions: 18" x 14" x 9" / 450 x 350 x 230mm
