Ristretto for iPad fits iPad in Marware Eco-Vue case?

Does anybody know for sure if the Ristretto for iPad will fit an iPad in a Marware Eco-Vue case? It is 10"x8"x1.2".

If not, what would be my next best bet for a small bag for my iPad? I like the idea of the Ristretto for iPad because of the built-in compartment for the iPad. The Café bags seem like a possibility, but I don't really like the idea of the iPad (even in the Marware case) just sitting in the same compartment with everything else I'd be carrying in my bag.

    Thanks for any opinions!

I have an iPad in the same case and tried a cache and it won't fit in the cache. So, I don't know if it will fit in the Ristretto.

      Cafe bags+cache

I carry my Netbook in a cache in my medium or large cafe bag. The cache protects it from other things in the bag.
Been there. Done that. Can't remember.

Your best bet might be to get a Large Cafe Bag and the Cache one size larger that the Cache for Ipad/notebook. This is the Cache size 6Z which has interior dimensions of approximately 13.0 × 9.1 × 1.1 inches (330 × 232 × 28 mm), exterior dimensions of approximately 13.6 × 9.8 × 1.7 inches (346 × 248 × 44 mm)

I sometimes carry, in a Large Cafe Bag, an older 13" ibook in the size 5 padded case Tom Bihn offered before the Cache, it had grippy closure but otherwise it looks really similar to the Cache.

It is an older laptop and case and it takes most of the Cafe Bag main compartment but I could fit 2 netbooks in it.

One of the things I love about my Large Cafe Bag(s) is their versatility.
They can hold tech gadgets galore, loads of paperwork, tons of little stuff or a mixture of all 3.

Since the padded compartment is not build in, you can upgrade when Apple came out with the dual or triptych screen iPad.
