    Will it fit? Bose headphone case, iPad, insulated H2O

    I'm looking for a smaller carry-on bag for frequent plane travel. I've been using an Aeronaut-Synapse combo for recent trips, but I am curious about being able to trade the Synapse for a Ristretto for iPad, Small Cafe Bag, or Co-Pilot.

    Ideally, I would want to easily fit an iPad and Bose headphone case in the bag, with room to spare. But I think those two items are the largest/bulkiest in the mix.

    A padded section for the iPad is not mandatory for me; I have a very slim padded sleeve already that I currently just throw in the Synapse. It's about the thickness of the TB Padded Organizer Pouch and works just fine.

    Room for an insulated Kleen Kanteen (16oz) would also be killer.

    How big is your Bose case? I suspect that the small cafe bag is going to be much too small for this purpose. The Co-pilot, though, sounds ideal.

    Me, I use an Imago as my personal plane item, but that may be overkill for your needs.

      Much to my surprise I could fit the Bose case for the QuietComfort 2 headphones in my Ristretto for iPad, along with my iPad in the Apple case. The Bose case is about 8.75" x 7.5" x 1.75" at its highest and deepest points. There's still room for a small organizer pouch or two in the main compartment. The front compartment will be a little tight with the Bose, but there's still usable space. I don't think that you'd be able to fit in a water bottle.

        Large cafe bag may work. That is my preferred airpline personal item. Amazing what you can cram in.

            Reading the title of this thread makes me want Maverick to name his show "Will It Fit?" (as opposed to "Will It Blend?") starring TB bags and using questions from this forum for each episode.

              Thanks for the information I appreciate the help.

              Unfortunately, it's a moot point for me. I had a computer die the day I posted this and got a MacBook Pro replacement. Now the priority is to look at the checkpoint flyer... or the Tri-Star... or the...
