    Little Swift materials

Every time I think about ordering a little swift I end up confused about which to buy so I don't.

I'd appreciate feedback from those of you who've bought it in cork, hemp, or ultrasuede in terms of what you like or don't like about the material. Also how does it handle downpours? Durability etc.

I'd order a pouch in each material but I already have too many pouches that I have no use for,

I'm surprised you haven't had a response yet, but your post came when I was traveling. I bought the Little Swift in Hemp. This is the fabric shown in peregrina's video of the Little Swift inside her Smart Alec and in her forum thread. Also, check out her YouTube video of what she carries in her Little Swift. I'm quite happy with this material, since I wanted a fabric that, like my previous Swift and Lux (in ballistic nylon), stood up when empty. I was looking for a neutral color with this bag, so my decision was down to either Cork or Hemp. (I figured that the Cocoa ultrasuede cloth would be lovely but impractical for my use). You might want to check backpack's post summarizing weight and materials, and scroll down to read Darcy's comments about relative stiffness of the different fabrics. I've not had this in serious downpours, but it works out well. The backing material is vulcana rubber. I wasn't sure how that would appear in practice, but Katy sent me a fabric swatch. It works better than I would have thought, based on the swatch, because there's the underlying reinforcement, but because the inner dyneema pockets run about two thirds of the way down the bag, you don't encounter the rough texture as a problem.

In summary, I'm very happy with this choice. You might also take a look at ncb4's post on the Little Swift in kiwi ballistic. It's under the packing list entries, so probably doesn't get as many views as it deserves, but it has pictures of the Little Switft and its contents. I got wallets in the cork and ultrasuede, but not the Vulcana/Hemp.

    HTH.
