    Co-Pilot and Water Bottle

Earlier I asked about whether or not the Co-Pilot would fit the new 11.6in MacBook Air (the answer seems to be 'yes'). I'm still pondering a purchase of the Co-Pilot. My other query about it is if the water bottle pocket can fit a vacuum mug (i.e., travel mug that holds hot liquids). If anyone has fit a vacuum mug in a Co-Pilot, please let me know what brand and size bottle you used.

As I posted elsewhere, I have not had a lot of luck with under-seat storage on planes lately. I'm still looking for the most compact travel bag that will fit into a fairly tight space. One important feature to me is the ability to hold a travel mug, which I use for drinking tea and coffee (much easier to hold during a bumpy flight than a styrofoam cup of liquid).

I've put the Contigo Vacuum-Insulated travel mug in there (the 16oz no-handle one) and it fits -- I have to pull the zipper over the jutting-out part of the lid (it's not perfectly circular) but it stays closed just fine.

I can take pictures in a few days, if that would help.

Thanks, Marbenais! That's very helpful to know.
I don't need a photo, I just wanted to know if a vacuum mug could be found that would fit that pocket.

        Hi Beth,
I tried two Thermos brand containers in the Co-Pilot water bottle pocket. One is 8.25X2.5 the other is 6.5X3.5. I also tried an 18oz Klean Kanteen (8X2.75). All three fit with room left over for three or four snack bars. All measurements in inches.
        Happy travels,
