Seeing the Smart Alec Lower Module Pocket pre-order I am wondering if more pictures are available of it. Google search didn't net many alternate angles. In particular the backside snaps or attachment points. I am considering using it as a lunch bag with a bottle of water and lunch items. The vertical orientation appeals to my use case as it would fit well alongside my seat or hanging on a cab post. Any opinion on its utility when not used with the Smart Alec? Thanks.

The attachment points for both pockets are all Gatekeepers.
Here's some Forum posts I found (including some pack out ones since it's convenient to paste them here, not only what you asked for)
Note that the links in many of these posts are broken from the Forum site upgrade, but you can find some of them by clever google search
The google search string I used to get the below links was "forums.tombihn.com smart alec lower"

Thanks! These pictures are great and answered my own questions about the lower modular pocket. They make me wish I'd jumped on getting an entire setup when the pockets were available in matching colors, because that's such a nice look. But on the other hand, there are some improvements that might make me happier with the current Smart Alecs.----

and found my own older post showing photos of how I use a Side Effect and Everyday/Travel Cubelet instead of the pockets

and this was someone's great review of the SA vs SG, just note that the SA was halcyon

There is a picture here that seems to show that (looks like 6 points to me, if you page down a bit):

That is certainly the most secure way to do it and TB did it for a reason, but you could conceivably not actually use all the attachment points ... It would just mean the pockets might move around more and/or put strain on fewer points when carrying gold bricks.
For instance, only use the uppermost point on the left and right of the LMP and the base might pivot out/away from the bag when you stow sideways in an overhead plane bin for instance...
I posted elsewhere that I ended up selling my Ballistic SA & pockets in favor of halcyon, but pockets of halcyon were no longer being made, so I do without.
I use SE and E/TC instead of the pockets. They attach at fewer points so theoretically are a bit less secure and move more, but it works for me. Especially the ease of removing and using as stand alone carry.
If anyone has pockets, maybe they can share photos of the backsI like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! My search unicorn is the Sapphire Dyneema original Small Shop Bag...

I looked at the old video that's on the product page and if you stop at 1:07, you should see the side view of the LMP and the Gatekeepers... one near the top of the LMP and the other two below the zipper (3ea side)I like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! I didn’t try clicking through all the links, but tpnl liked using his lower modular pocket as a lunch container in the Cadet main area, where there is more vertical space, and Ilkyway separately wore the lower modular pocket at her side. The other item that I attached to the Smart Alec front was the redesigned Citizen Canine. You can also carry the Upper Modular Pocket suspended inside a backpack where the webbing loops are for the cache with rails. I’ll point you to one of Ilkyway’s posts in the hacks thread. That thread also had some ways of suspending various vertical Freudian Slips so the bottom didn’t rest on the bottom of the bag.
She modded the suspension to use double gatekeeper clips with a slot cut in for slipping on the webbing loops, because she felt that was more stable.
there are a whole series of pictures in that post. terayon liked to carry the vertical Freudian Slip and the one for the Synapse Here’s a link to the way she suspended the FS in that hacks thread. She also liked using the FS for TriStar/Western Flyer just to carry the FS — you can put that whole assembly in a Smart Alec and separately lift it out/carry it. Also, Ilkyway showed how you could organize the way you used Smart Alec Space by inserting a Daylight Backpack, leaving it open, and inserting various Cafe Bag Freudian slips in the tiered pockets. Again there are many pictures, just excerpting one
