    Old Cache sizes?

I have a couple of old Size 6Z Caches (one in each orientation before the new style came into being). I can't find the "official" dimensions for them to compare to the new zipper style to decide if I should get a new one for my newer work laptop. I would prefer a little better fit and the zipper design. The laptop is a Dell 5420 and is swimming a bit in the 6Z. It looks like the 13a would be the closest current fit and might also be too big.

    FWIW, the laptop is 12.5" x 8.25" x <1".

EDIT: And a general question for others who happen to be searching for similar info: Is there anywhere that all of the old sizes are listed with dimensions? An archive would be great.

Hmmm, for something like this, I'd email/chat with TB as I'm sure they have the dimensions.

I don't know of any archive of sizes, but that's a neat idea.
They probably don't have them listed anymore in the normal 'bag specs' pages (link is at the bottom of the main home page) because it might confuse folks as to availability.
There should be a way to pull all the info and list it somewhere on the main site or we could do it here.
    MikeV what do you think?

I like all the blues and greys...and all the happy citrus colours too! My search unicorn is the Sapphire Dyneema original Small Shop Bag...

Dimensions for the 6Z cache can be found in this archived page:

      https://web.archive.org/web/20170202...mensions-specs

before 2017 or so, cache dimensions were documented in a different page, here's the cache product page from 2015:

      https://web.archive.org/web/20150329...gs/TB0350.html

      And the dimensions are here:

      https://web.archive.org/web/20150319...ide-popup.html

Let me know if you can't access archive.org for any reason and I can gladly post screenshots for reference.

Excellent! I hadn't even thought about checking the Way Back Machine, but I don't think I would have found the right pages anyway. Much appreciated!

Looks like about 1/4" shorter on each interior length and width for the 13a vs. 6z, so not a huge difference. But... exterior dimensions on the 13a are a bit bigger.

Height and width are flipped between the two, but here's what's shown for each size: I'll probably keep rolling with my 6z unless I just get too annoyed using a vertical cache in a horizontally-oriented bag and I'm buying a new bag -- I'm eyeing a Pilot for myself...
