I've never tried a frame sheet in the BB, probably because I usually only use the BB for weird work trips by car where I'm carrying two laptops and lots of work stuff to cart around a factory, so the bag is very full and fairly rigid.
I also have a BB completely packed out as my main apartment 72hr/emergency/Bug Out Bag, with a Shadow Guide hip belt. It's probably not as rigid a load, but since it mostly just sits around as insurance, I haven't really carried it much.
Even though I have single bagged, usually I don't need to and prefer two separate bags (as much for the convenience and flexibility as for the space).
