    Addax 26 vs Synik 22

Looking for feedback on the Addax 26. I’m familiar with the tradeoffs of a rolltop so I’m specifically seeking feedback on this bag, not rolltops in general.

I generally travel with my Synik 22 plus a small sling. I’m looking for something slightly bigger so I can put my sling or jacket into the pack on occasion - going through security, in transit, etc. The Addax might work.

    Specifically I am wondering:

    - Will it fit under the seat as a personal item when rolled to its smallest unexpanded size? I have reviewed the listed dimensions on the TB site so I’m looking for those with personal experience to weigh in.

    - Anyone have both a Synik 22 and an Addax 26 who can comment on how these two bags compare for you? I do realize they are completely different styles. I’m looking for feedback on comfort, usefulness as both a daypack and a travel pack.

    - I am 5’5 115lbs. The Synik 22 is a good size for me. This would obviously be a bit larger. Would also value feedback from those around the same size on how it fits and carries.

    - Finally, anyone have a photo of these two bags side by side?

Not sure how many folks have both bags yet since the ADX26 is fairly new, so here at least are some photos.

Empty, flat, the SN22 on top of the larger ADX26

One pillow stuffed into each bag just to fill them out a little. Neither bag is full.

I haven't taken the ADX26 on a commercial flight yet, but I feel like whether it will fit or not under a seat will just depend on how much I stuff in, use the extra top space, what airline & seat configuration, etc.
It is certainly possible to fill it so much that it WON'T fit...vs that would be hard with the SN22, unless you're on a very small regional plane.

I'm 5'4", prefer my bag strap-to-back-panel vertical to be 16-18" and find both these to be comfortable for EDC and general wandering around. As you say, they're completely different styles though.

If there are any comparison/pack out photos you'd like to see, let me know.

Thank you so much for these photos!! This is incredibly helpful. I’m going to give the addax 26 a try.
